ICE vs EV fires
Have you driven the Q50 with DAS? Garbage. I had it for 2 weeks and hated the feel. The 7 speed auto was old but reliable...turbo lag on the RS was pretty noticeable. I loved my G35 but hated the Q50.
That solid state is prototype form. Do you know the longevity of that particular solid state battery? Most of those prototypes have very limited life and can't be mass produced. Its a science project at best and commercialization is years away.
You actually linked Toyota's sad attempt at calling its hybrid lineup an EV? Please...their first BEV attempt has worst in class range and charging and just flat out slow. Sad.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 just keeps winning awards.

To claim that the Ioniq 5 (or EV6) isn't objectively a better EV than the BZ4X when it's more efficient, more powerful, has better range, faster charging, not to mention more available is just outright denial lol.
That Toyota SSB prototype is about as relevant as this decade-old twin turbo V8 LS. It's easy to make fancy one-offs when none of it has to go into mass market production.

You don't need a lithium ion battery, or even your car to be an EV, for your battery to spontaneously catch on fire.

How ironic, this just popped up in my newsfeed today.

And Hyundais keep burning: Kias and Hyundais continue to burn after 5.8 million cars and SUVs recalled (yahoo.com)

The Ford Mach-E (9.5/10) is better than the Kia EV6 (8/10):

As I've said previously, apparently it doesn't make sense for Toyota to spend billions to produce a viable EV. Their efforts are going into solid state instead of jumping on the bandwagon of everybody else that has major issues (see below)
Wow, a new one. Lol and people will defend this miserable company until the bitter end.

Here's a joke: what's worse than iPhone and Tesla fanboys? Punchline: Hyundai/Kia/Genesis fanboys!

You drive a truck the way it was meant to be driven, that's fine. I have no issue. It's everyone else that's the problem.
In the mid to late 2000s, there were a lot of paid "fanboys" who were propping up Hyundai on the automotive internet forums. The corporate culture of this company is truly disgusting.
Even at 20 years old I was smart enough to not consider one. Weeks later I found a blue 2005 Camry LE with 50k miles for 13k. Got 2k for the falling apart Grand Am and I was happy with it the next 10 years, 245k miles, and no issues.
What evidence do you have it being an excellent car? It has barely been out on the market, and its predecessor ended up being an embarrassing fire hazard.
