2026 RAV4 Debuts
not the same.
One is about already happy with what you have, but then you actively go comparing with something else and that robs you of happiness, even though what you have didn’t change.
Being ignorant doesn’t have the same premise.

Toyota loyalists will like it by default because they simply won't look at anything else. IMO Toyota has fallen way behind in safety*, performance, looks and tech. What really bothers me is they spend considerable resources on things that are frivolous. Fake vents and other styling features, giant grilles that do nothing, high hood lines just because Toyota is in love with the over bite look. This wasn't the case for decades, Toyota excelled at being under stated and spent their resources on engineering not clown car styling cues.

Im hardly a Toyota loyalist anymore, but their success with what they are doing is undeniable.
Their sales keep increasing for a reason:

Many of them are blind-repeat sales based on what Toyota was like decades ago.

Even though I myself have liked the Buick nameplate for many years, I won't just buy anything with a red/white/blue tri-shield logo on it like blind sheep. It has to met my driving needs (or wants), be built with either American labor (preferably unionized), or labor in a friendly country like Korea or Canada (again preferably unionized), and pass my own review/driving-tests for ownership.

I’m well aware of your assessment 🫣🤣
The RAV4 is a great A to B vehicle.
