i bet a ton of people buy rav4's without considering let alone trying ANY other vehicle, the brand rep is that strong. great for toyota, lousy for blinkered consumers.
So? They still buy the car. I don't think its lousy for consumers, its a great vehicle and buyers are happy with it

and the other brands are GM products with small underpowered three cylinder engines, Nissan Rouges with a little better power 3 cylinder engines or Hyundai/KIA crossovers with endless engine recalls and warnings of the dangers of parking in garages. RAV4 is a good choice

Welp, since you put it THAT way. Haha

Never have, never will unless it's a manual 1st gen. Driven too many and never impressed with the cost/what you get ratio and none are fun at all except for the original
V6 RAV is a nice size and of course has good power. Super easy to maintain and has good reliability. VVTi cam rattle is a weak spot as well as steering intermediate shaft failures and sometimes the transfer case dies. Still, the last RAV4 with any fun factor after that a truly soul sucking bore of an SUV IMO.
some here may remember my brief insanity a few years back of owning another Toyota legend - a mint 2014.5 Camry. Car would likely have lasted 'forever' but I could only take a few months before selling it. 😄
