But demand for RAV4s is so high it keeps the used prices high.
Was shopping for a used 2018 RAV4 Limited or SE for my kiddo and the prices in my area's market were about the same as the 2018 NX, sometimes MORE
Yes, I don't quite get the RAV-4's extreme popularity, although it does have a good reputation for reliability. It has now become the best-selling vehicle in the U.S., eclipsing even the F-150 and Silverado pickups. But every one I've driven, test-driven, or reviewed, (and my neighbor leaves me the key to hers every time she goes out of town for more than a few days, as she travels often) is about as boring and appliance-like to drive as watching paint dry. They also have cheaply-done interiors, even on upper-trim models.

i'm in total agreement with you mike, but isn't that a bit ironic coming from the big buick fan? shouldn't that be a high point for you lol
personally i haven't been interested in a RAV4 since 2011 when they were last available with the 2GR V6, although the RAV4 prime does actually have some appeal to me...

I don't think Buicks are appliances. In general, at least to my tastes, I find them more pleasant than Toyotas....partially because IMO their trim and interiors are better than Toyota's. They also come with more standard and optional features.
I will give Toyota credit, though (always have), for building (mostly) very well-engineered drivetrains that run like clockwork and last many years.

but with super duper fugly giant tall and long front overhang.
We will have to wait and see, but maybe that long front overhang is a hint that it's got something larger under the hood than an in-line four....... possibly a V6.
Of course, I wouldn't bet on it, because the clear tendency today with crossovers is to downsize V6 engines and use turbo fours (or turbo-threes in the smaller ones)...but one can still keep their fingers crossed.
