I truly never understand the hate this forum has for the RAV4. Don't want one? Don't buy one. I drive a 2019 hybrid one frequently and it's not noisy at all and it offers great torque, comfortable seats, price appropriate materials, and though it's subjective, I think it looks good. Great features like a panoramic roof that opens, digital rear view mirror, CarPlay, radar cruise, etc. It's all on the price point, in my opinion.
Just out of curiosity, how did you know it was 4500 RPM? The hybrid doesn't have a tach. Or are you just that good?
It’s just ridiculous lol.
I saw a new Rav 4 in the charcoal color with black badges and wheels and darker charcoal trim the other day and commented that it was really sharp

Because peak torque/hp is about 4800rpm on the A25A-FXS and other Toyota hybrid engines.

Same problem here most of them have quarter panel rot.
Looks Tesla like, and really excited to see this on Lexus as well. Helps raise situational awareness.
yep. Now this has front cross traffic alert as well. So I’m all in for making the cars safer. As most are brought by young families. So many accidents are still due to turning into oncoming cars.
Toyota is just not going to build niche enthusiast cars, you just have to come to terms with that.
But they invested in this “GR brand” with Supra, 86, Corolla, Yaris which has actually built an enthusiast following. There is no reason to water it down by selling a GR Rav4. The Rav4 doesnt need the GR trim, it will sell well no matter what. I just dont get the strategy of shooting yourself in the foot when you spent millions in advertising to establish GR as real enthusiast cars.

This is just the way the industry is. Everybody takes these high performance brands that very few people buy and dilutes them down to accessible packages that many consumers buy. There is way more profit it using that brand to sell volumes of cars instead of a few cars. If you sell 20,000 GR branded Rav 4s that’s way more profit than selling 400 GR Corollas that are “worthy” of the GR brand, or selling 1,000 Supras you have to give 60% of the profit to BMW for.
It’s a mass market strategy. BMW does it. Mercedes does it. Audi does it. You can bet Toyota is going to do it. They do it because it makes business sense. Without these volume cars those cool cars you want wouldn’t exist because there is no business rationale for building them without being able to profit off of the brand at volume on a car like this.

Thanks for that! Where did you find it? I’ve never been able to find it. Only that the gas engine peak torque is 3600 RPM but I can’t find it with gas plus electric torque.

.
didn’t want to point it out, but the RAV4 GR Sport does have more total HP than the Corolla GR 👀. And does get 150km on electric power. Does charge to 80% in 30 min if that is one’s thing. Some could argue that Toyota is far ahead of every other manufacturer in the small crossover over segment as they have an offering that appeals to a huge mainstream brand following. Totally not at all interested, but definitely should be celebrated.
those advocating for the BRZ GR or a Supra GR should acknowledged that those are not real Toyotas cars but in fact Subarus and BMWs

Here ya go. Nearly the same thing on all Toyota 4-cylinder hybrids
