Well you should visit the Golden gate bridge, Golden gate Park, and Fisherman's Warf, as well as China Town. That's worth a visit to SF
When I was a kid we used to go to the SF Zoo and the Park. I can’t recall the name of that place in the park where there were stuffed animals on display and a gem stone wing. Really cool stuff to see. Haven’t been back in years.
Gotta hit Tommy’s Joynt and check who’s playing at the Fillmore. Park in a garage on Geary not on Fillmore.
As of April 30, 2026, gas prices in San Francisco are averaging around $6.20 per gallon for regular unleaded, with some stations, such as a Shell at 4th and Bryant Streets, charging over $7 ($7.15) per gallon due to a significant surge driven by, among other things, instability in the Middle East. This is part of a broader, rapid increase across California.

So I was listening to this analyst I always listen to, and he was saying that because California doesn't have a pipeline, gas/oil has to be trucked in, which means gas is only going to go up in the state. Even removing gas taxes wouldn't give much relief, especially in a crunch like this. Fun days ahead.
If anyone actually believes this administration hasn't fucked us by now, it just means they live in an alternate reality. Let me in
Oooof.... I made a few big trips yesterday. went through 1/2 tank.
One thing I noticed. You had a ton of people doing 90+ in the left lane on I90 when gas was cheaper.
Everyones a little more relaxed driving at the speed limit knowing gas is high priced.
He was lucky that Steve Jobs was dumbenough to delay Western medicine for his cancer....and Cook was very very lucky in that he took over when the cell phone industry was poised for a massive explosion in growth...it was perfect timing... all of the "hardworking" stuff is so overblown...of course hard work is super important, but many downplay how much timing, luck and risk play a role...Tim Cook should take over Tesla as the CEO
Yeah and he was so unqualified that the board and the shareholders let him continue his incompetence as CEO for 15 years until he voluntarily retired and wasn't booted. You don't have to be a pioneer or an inventor to be a capable CEO; in fact, it's frequently the opposite. Many times, creative types are not good leaders.
As far as California homeless issues... The weather is nice but the overriding issues are permissive state and local laws. Everything from sanctuary policy to decriminalizing theft, permissive drug laws and enforcement... on and on... are what folks mock about areas of California, not so much the homeless themselves. And of course the billions spent on homelessness which does more to line the pockets of politically aligned groups than anything else.
Enforcement and different laws are hard in Cali. However its not a cake walk, as that's a thin line to get right without overstepping to one extreme or the other, and setting it up for a perfect storm of disastrous consequences.
