Gas Prices
You don't have to be an economist/Phd/ to know which way the wind blows.
It's basic... when it costs a semi-truck $500 instead of $1000 a fillup eventually the products/food they are transporting become cheaper as well, unfortunately it doesn't happen overnight.
It all begins and ends with energy.
I just checked my Gas and Electric, I can't login so IDK what the wattage costs but the bills hover the same for the past two years, within $20-30 or so. I'm not saying nobody has higher power bills, but I don't... not that I'm seeing.
Meanwhile driving an 11mpg tank truck that only costs $45 to fillup is great, even though it doesn't matter money wise. All my bills like gas/electric are on autopay and I never look at them anyway, but at the pump I actually see real savings. We were paying $90 plus per fillup a couple years ago. It was above $100 a few times. And this is TN where the price is lower than the national average. Yukon I haven't driven in a while, I put premium in it I want to say it's $60ish now.

The economic forces that have driven up prices are due to a lot more things than just fuel prices. Thats just one variable.
My electric and gas bills are up about 25%.
From ChatGPT:
Gas prices coming down is a great thing, but its not going to solve all of our cost issues.
The cost of fuel is only one variable, and there are many that are driving costs of food as an example up.

I'm not saying nobody has a higher home energy bill.
But you can't deny gas bascically cut in half (for here at least) sure is nice for those who are broke, to see that legit savings right there when they refuel.
We all live in a middle to upper class bubble on here (some on here are unbelievably rich) and are fortunate. When gas was $4 it was awful but we afforded it, it didn't affect or ruin our lives etc etc.

This information is easy to find if you look for it. Having lower gas prices is great, but thats the only area where prices for consumers have come down, and gas prices coming down aren't going to bring all other prices down because there are just a ton of reasons why prices have gotten so high.
