I don't care where you get your biased opinion pieces from. Likely they've thought opposite of my rhetoric in general and have been wrong, is this the lot of economists that swore we'd all be lining up for EVs? Or that Americans would be fine being forced into junk engines they don't want?

You don't have to be an economist/Phd/ to know which way the wind blows.

It's basic... when it costs a semi-truck $500 instead of $1000 a fillup eventually the products/food they are transporting become cheaper as well, unfortunately it doesn't happen overnight.

It all begins and ends with energy.

I just checked my Gas and Electric, I can't login so IDK what the wattage costs but the bills hover the same for the past two years, within $20-30 or so. I'm not saying nobody has higher power bills, but I don't... not that I'm seeing.

Meanwhile driving an 11mpg tank truck that only costs $45 to fillup is great, even though it doesn't matter money wise. All my bills like gas/electric are on autopay and I never look at them anyway, but at the pump I actually see real savings. We were paying $90 plus per fillup a couple years ago. It was above $100 a few times. And this is TN where the price is lower than the national average. Yukon I haven't driven in a while, I put premium in it I want to say it's $60ish now.

Actually economists do have a little more insight into economics than people who are not economists. They are professionals who do nothing but study and analyze economics. Not everything is political lol. Things don't magically work differently depending on which political party is in power. Economists would have nothing to say about what consumers would or would not buy...thats not what an economist studies.

The economic forces that have driven up prices are due to a lot more things than just fuel prices. Thats just one variable.

My electric and gas bills are up about 25%.

From ChatGPT:

Gas prices coming down is a great thing, but its not going to solve all of our cost issues.

The cost of fuel is only one variable, and there are many that are driving costs of food as an example up.

Oh I love ChatGPT but it's not accurate. And it's also biased.

I'm not saying nobody has a higher home energy bill.

But you can't deny gas bascically cut in half (for here at least) sure is nice for those who are broke, to see that legit savings right there when they refuel.

We all live in a middle to upper class bubble on here (some on here are unbelievably rich) and are fortunate. When gas was $4 it was awful but we afforded it, it didn't affect or ruin our lives etc etc.

Do some research on your own, all the cites of what ChatGPT is using are right there. That information is accurate, gas prices are down but all other energy costs are up. Its not "biased", its just looking at whats out there on the internet and presenting it to you. Would you trust Grok more? It says the same thing,

This information is easy to find if you look for it. Having lower gas prices is great, but thats the only area where prices for consumers have come down, and gas prices coming down aren't going to bring all other prices down because there are just a ton of reasons why prices have gotten so high.

Sorry, I do not subscribe to the "educated people are wrong" argument. When I want insight into economics, I get that from economists.

Started with StarTex Power, then Discount Power for multiple back-to-back 3 year fixed plans called 'Power Plan 36' with one extension.
