Yes, the interface is different. You don't get the Start Self driving blue button. I believe you have to activate it using the stalk. Double tap or single tap depending on what you have your setting on. Also, you lose the driving profiles like Hurry/Mad Max etc and you lose the parking functions at destination.

i guess just the right scroll wheel press is the only way to engage it.
For my car I just double tapped the right scroll wheel and it activated it and scrolling up or down would change modes like standard, hurry, mad max, etc.

I test drove a 2025 S (HW4/V14) and the button to start FSD was on the screen - top left.
Ah you are right, I misremembered because I have been using Autopilot for the last couple months and I forgot. You are right, my 2025 Plaid does have the button at the top left of the screen.
If Tesla's FSD did this it would be front page international news. Waymo doesn't even try to be smart navigating unprotected lefts it just inches through cross traffic and hopes for the best. Brutal.
Just name it what it is. Tesla assist. That stops the expectations.
The video is wild.

Just for the record, the driver claims she was using FSD, not AP.
My FSD subscription ended almost a month back, so last night on a longer drive I used Autopilot with steering enabled. And now I miss FSD. A couple of reasons... when I hit a construction zone on the freeway, it panicked when there was a barrier wall to the right, started screaming for me to take over and nearly drifted into it. Also where I live in the Bay area, people have no idea how to drive, so you hit pockets of slow drivers who have no idea the left lane is for faster driving/passing, so I have to keep disengaging to go around them. It's basically good for a long stretch where you can maintain a consistent speed, no construction zones, and perfect painted lines on the road. It doesn't even come close to FSD
