Someone who owns a Tesla and says that shouldn't be taken seriously. The seats are comfy... but not that comfy lol 😆
However, same is true of many other brands... people told me Audi seats were awesome, and my 16 way (or whatever) A7 seats left me with back pain, while plain IS220d Luxury seats to this date are the best seats ever. They can cure back pain on their own. And they look very plain, not too adjustable either - but the memory foam they use simply always supports every part of your back. Neither of my Tesla seats can touch it with 10ft pole.
AMIRZA786 - i dont know about you, but quite to me when Tesla owners over internet speak too highly about some fairly plain things in their vehicles (for the price), i often wonder if they came from a Corolla and now they first time purchased 2x more expensive vehicle... or maybe it is a stock thing, and/or combination of both.

Can maybe also be that it's similar stuff but done in a better way or different way, etc.
From what everyone says, Tesla is ready available, user friendly, no hassle purchase, etc, etc, and I suspect many reasons for a fan base.
Just ideas... 🛸

. Last night my wife and I were invited to a friends house for dinner, there were maybe 10 families also invited, half of them were driving Tesla's, if you ask any of them what they thought about their Tesla's, they would say its a good car, its fast, drives very good and is efficient. They wouldn't compare it to a Mercedes, they wouldn't say its luxurious, they would say it's inexpensive, and it does the job. There is no doubt that Tesla's are a very innovative piece of technology, it's the leader as far as electric cars go and it's continually getting better each revision. But crazy talk people hear is from the internet. Even a friend of mine who is a Plaid owner loves his car, but he'll happily tell you it's shortcomings and tell you his BMW is more comfortable
That's funny but it's true in my case, sad to admit. Haha
I also consider real leather a luxury, even though my back was killing me after driving all day.
Luxury back pain, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😂

you say everything was better in the 'good old days'
because dropping, flinging etc. are expected from users.
mac laptops still have solid metal cases. the screens might be slightly more fragile in order to save weight and bulk. but the performance, features, battery life, etc. is many times faster than your 2010 relic. my macbook pro is so fast and efficient that despite all i do on it at once the fans never run. can't say that about the 2017 intel macbook pro i had.

In any case I like this laptop so much that the day my first one got totaled, I ordered another one and it was delivered within 90 minutes..... LOL.
It's actually funny now that I think about it, I was only offline (laptop wise) an hour or so.
Mine doesn't have fans and it rarely/never gets hot or even warm, that's one of the things I love about it.
Could be any of those, sure why not.

Not BEV related things, which are actually/probably the best.
. They are good, comfortable seats, like a Camry's. What I love about my Tesla has nothing to do with seats, audio, etc. I love the smooth drivetrain, instant torque, super efficiency, and the fact that there are Tesla superchargers everywhere in California, so I can travel from one end of the state to the other with no worries. Also, lots of service centers here. There are three within 10 miles of my home and work

new ones still have usb (c) ports and if you want extras c or a type, just get a cheap hub.
as for a dvd player, lol. i download movies/shows to my ipad before the flight... problem solved.
exactly, i recently switched from android to iphone and it's so nice having photos i take just be available right away on mac and ipad.
my company buys and installs many models/brands of windows laptop. there's always major trade-offs of battery life, weight, cost, performance, fan noise, etc. of course mac laptops have trade-offs too and maybe part of their battery life advantage is they don't have touch screens, but definitely their 'apple silicon' processors are a big factor.
windows is a bit like a chevy camaro... lots of flash and old school power but no class, lol.

Macbooks are certainly the fastest on the market and the tech pack in them is class leading, but for me that doesn't mean much if it won't hold up. I have stuck to high end thinkpads and while reparability has gone down its certainly better than macbooks. One other main reason I have stuck to thinkpads is its mandatory for me to have a sim card slot. For a Pro device its shocking Apple hasn't added this option yet.
Build quality includes durability as a main factor and second reparability. Macbooks now a days are basically disposable once something goes wrong. Many macbooks over the past 7 years have major issues that should never have been an issue in the first place. For example, a LCD cable that was too short so it gets stretched over time and breaks.

I just bought my wife an Acer Aspire 5 for $530 plus 10 percent off using an Amazon coupon
Excellent build quality, 15.6" 1080P display, 20GB RAM, 1TB SSD drive, AMD Ryzen 4 core processor. Thin and light, and lightning fast. Windows 11 has a feature that won't let her install or run unauthorized applications, and I run her account as non admin so she can't do any major damage
. Her last laptop that this is replacing was a crappy HP, she got about 3 years out it. She will probably get another 4 or 5 years out of this laptop. She mostly just checks her emails and Facebook, and watches Youtube and her dramas. I would never buy her a Macbook because it's just way too expensive for what her use cases are
Here's my Apple story. I went with a friend to the Apple store in Palo Alto, he wanted to buy a Mac. My friend asked the Apple employee if he also needs to buy antivirus software, and the employee told him that Macs don't get viruses, so he doesn't need to buy any. He went on to say they never crash, and some other stuff that got my blood boiling, as I've been in IT more than 30 years, and there is no software that exists that doesn't have vulnerabilities. I then interjected and asked him "Does the BS you just said come with it, or is that extra?" My friend began to laugh, and the Apple employee just looked at me with deer in the headlights look as what I said just sailed over his head...
I've yet to personally meet a Tesla owner who thinks their car is perfect. We are actually very critical of our cars, when they have flaws, we are not afraid to disclose them and be critical when criticism is warranted
