I figured it's both, but thought I would throw it in . Just my opinion, but I think you would absolutely love the i7. It's the closest EV I've driven that meets or exceeds your S-Class. Plus it has good range, and excellent lease options available

 

Oh I do think I would love the i7, my only concern is traveling

We all had range concerns, but that will go away as the infrastructure continues to be built out, and if Tesla's chargers get opened to other automakers next year, the concern will be much less. Also your brother has a dryer plug, that should alleviate most of your concerns. Anyway, you have to consider what's best for you, I'm not in your shoes

We went to a family holiday thing tonight and found out one of our relatives traded in their gas F150 for an F150 Lightning. Him and his wife absolutely love the thing. They had a lot of questions about its range and charging it, especially when they need to tow their boat from time to time.

It was fun to hear about their EV experience so far & answer a lot of questions they had about other EVs, charging infrastructure, etc. I thought I'd share about how much they are loving the F150 Lightning as well as the whole EV experience, imperfections and all. They're now looking to replace her gas BMW SUV with something electric.

These post mortems are easy. These are people all these last 100 failed brands paid to get them to success, and yet they all failed before Tesla.
Usually there is a lot of disconnect between marketing and reality, which is why Musk never liked marketing per say.

Now back to what was ingenious for Tesla - aside from product and something completely new, rewriting the rules book of almost everything associated with car manufacturing, it was actually stock ownership in startup that goes up.

A lot of people defended Tesla online because they owned stock, not vehicles. They were influential in making stock go up, and their earnings with it as well. This is why Teslarati exists, and it is not a mere tesla forum. It is all about stock.
