It’s still new tech for cars and will get better over time. Kind of how EVs had **** range and power until recently. For me I like to see all the options and hydrogen would be a great one to have.
Water covers some 70% of the earth's surface....in both fresh and salt bodies. There is an enormous amount of potential hydrogen available from water-molecules, but separating the oxygen from the hydrogen in water is not done economically on a large or feasible scale. I remember doing experiments in school-labs, where we did the electrolysis and separated the hydrogen and oxygen in small amounts.
It would have enormous potential, though, if a more economical way of doing it on a larger scale could be found.

You need a cheap energy source that's abundant... solar and nuclear for example. But nuclear is not going to happen, oil companies will oppose it with Jane Fonda type ferocity

Hard to tell. Oil-companies don't seem to be opposing more nuclear power-plants for home-electric-heating, even though some homes use oil-furnaces and heat with oil.
this is the general ev thread. you raised toronto's airport spending a fortune of taxpayer money on inefficient hydrogen vehicles. you also discuss tariffs, straits of hormuz, the war, which are not welcomed, and endless canadian flag waving. but thanks for the entertaining post.
agreed, so won’t engage with the rest of the post except for the last question. Hopefully Internet Brands will reconsider.
i, but have you considered an electric vehicle?
For sure the next time. Gas prices will be elevated going forward so it make sense especially with very cheap electricity in Canada 🇨🇦 And it appears that the only way to get a vehicle for cheaper will be going the China 🇨🇳 made route.
