Well this is a pain. Juicebox pulling out of North America and shutting down their app support. I'm hoping this doesn't impact my EV charging credit. I schedule charges in app so I won't be losing any functionality.

bummer, what ev charging credit do you get through your home charger?

Every time I hear the word "juice box" I think of Talladega Nights, can't help it. 🤣
Having to install a wall charger and find an electrician who knows what they are doing etc is a big objection for people who want to go EV, relieving them of that objection is just smart business.
it is a good idea to offer some sort of set up. as you said, it is a huge objection if you’re gonna buy an electric car an easy place to go, through the dealer perhaps it’s not a bad plan

Subaru offering 10K off their EV where I am. 5K federal incentive, and 5K off if paid in cash.

It reports charger usage to the utility co and I get a discount off EV specific rates as long as I'm charging off peak (after 11PM or the weekends). If that reporting stops, I don't get my discounted rates
Today was one of those days I had to use precooling
Lol where the hell are you? It's not 105 degrees in NorCal and I know that's not Baton Rouge, LA on the map.
I don't have any complaints about my cars' ACs' abilities (they all get cold fast...Merc has the best HVAC, of course lol), but yes I would definitely use that as well. It's so hot here in the summer.

I'm in NorCal, it's hot today, we are having a heatwave. It's probably more like 102 F, but because the road is so hot it's showing 105 F
Yep, we were well over 100 here today and same expected tomorrow. Hit 106 at SJC today and we’re usually a little hotter here than it gets there. Today was the hottest here since our 109 degree day back in 2022.

hyundai paid for my charger and some of the install cost and i got a tax credit too, but most importantly, they recommended the electrician to use, and it worked out great. all easier than i'd imagined. and you're right, in most people's minds it's something they don't want to deal with. but once it's done, being able to charge at home is so great. i charge every 3 days typically. i plug it in when i get home and it automatically starts at midnight to get a small credit from my electric company.

that's because their ev and toyota's cousin, are duds. terrible range, slow, front wheel drive. bad.

how much of a discount on the rate were you getting? what's crazy is the electric company clearly knows when you're charging your car(s). they're the biggest power users in your home.

yes, for some reason my iphone's giving me heat advisories for norcal and it's not a saved location in the weather app.
