You have a Superman bladder my friend 🤣 40 oz in 6 hours is at least two bathroom stops for this old man
No mud anywhere in the door jambs even before the door seals? I'm not buying that car was submerged and floating. I would believe that it would start and drive, but not that there would be no water in the interior. Floated 100 yards with no body damage? Also that would be exceedingly unlikely.

Wrong post you are quoting, unless you are saying bladders don't float
Notwithstanding the impressive levels of cast-iron bladder-oriented fortitude some here are blessed with, the bigger issue and IMO by far the main reason why reasonably frequent stops are an extremely good idea is driver inattention and fatigue. There’s absolutely no way anyone can stay at the top of their game after hours and hours of the kind of freeway driving where the scenery never changes and where the road is so long and straight you can see into next week. Taking a quick break to mentally reset and reboot isn’t just good for you and your passengers, it’s good for those around you. Distracted inattentive driving is dangerous, and the longer the drive the bigger the risk. No one is immune from this, and that first indication that you weren’t paying attention may also be your last.
If GPS says it’s a 5hr drive before I set off, I’m trying to get there in less than 5hrs, not over 5hrs
wow, i don't get it. it's not a race. i like to get out and stretch every hour or two. and yeah, visit the facilities usually.
Edit: I made a little over 6hr (6hr 30min to be exact) trip last night. During that time I ate a salad from Wendy’s, some French fries, handful of almonds, consumed 40oz of water, and about 4-5 sticks of gum. I used the restroom after I reached my destination.
i really doubt that's good for your bladder, but you're gonna do you.
and is your car messy inside?
i can count on one hand the times i've eaten a burger or other food in the car (vs. just something like a candy bar or power bar, etc).
I still am miffed by this but I made it all the way to Rochester from Knoxville without having to pee once. 11 hours, must have been a record for my life. Sorry TMI.
I needed more fluids I guess lol.
Ugh, I have to drive to Rochester this Friday, 6 hour drive and I’m not looking forward to it. I hope to stop only once for a quick bathroom break since I just like to get to my destination as soon as I can.

Visit the facilities??? Stretch every hour or two??? Negative Batman. I am trying to reach my destination soon as I can.
Cars stay clean. Wife keeps a mini vac in her SUV and every other vehicle except track car has a mini trash bin. Track car has never seen a road trip unless it was being hauled.
My traveling snack of choice is a bag of almonds. Haven’t had a fast food burger since 2020…including in car, in store, at home.

Right... Yeah it's about 11.5 hours from me, but figure 12 unless you're in a big hurry. I don't want to deal with getting tickets.
It is what it is, it's where my in-laws are. The drive is lonnnng, but you can do it in a day. For example, leave at 6AM you'll be there by dinner time. As long as you have a nice comfy car it could be a lot worse.

Dude, I would be flying if I had an 11 or 12 hour drive. You are basically losing two days travelling. No way I'm doing that
For those people in ICE vehicles who take 20-30 minutes inside the convenience store, what % of them stay parked at the pump though? We have a word for those people and I won't use it here out of respect for the mods.
If I'm going to go in to the store after pumping gas, I always pull up to a parking spot so that I'm not the SOB that's blocking a gas pump that somebody could be using.
. The Rove model I see as a small niche thing, but not a lot of them on every corner, the stand alone EV “stations” is what this is all about anyways, the business case of going into the establishment and chilling and buying all these food items doesn’t work IMO from a business case
POV. Current gas stations are an impulse buy as it is. I don’t see that changing.
Right, but the post you were quoting was about Buc-ees. Since you also specifcally mentioned Buc-ees in your response, I assume you were not meaning to suggest that your corner 8-pump gas station would need 400 EV chargers. People DO tend to treat Buc-ees like a destination and stay/shop/eat a while.

I was doing work in Jacksonville a few years back and we were working with some guys from Ireland. Did we make the 45ish minute drive to St. Augustine to visit a Buc-ees one evening? No, we did it twice
