This RC looks lika a beast. Half GS(at the back) and half IS(at the front). Looks like it placed right inbetween those two in the model line up. Ready to do battle with the BMW M4 and Audi RS5, it better have some ponies under that vented hood. If the RC looks this good and (heres to hoping) performs as well as it looks, i can only imagine how insane the upcoming SC will be! i like how they are cleaning up the names, coupes RC,SC,(C), sedan ES, IS, GS, LS, (S), SUV RX, GX,LX (X).

This IS-C, RC.........is the entry level coupe in the Lexus brand.
I hope this is the reality. A affordable RC and a halo SC. The LF-LC was a gorgeous concept.

An RC-F with 460 HP sounds great, but I sincerely hope they'll use something else for the GS-F. A 460HP GSF would be disappointing.

are we sure it is not unmasked RC?

Because tailights are exactly the same as with RC next to it.

RC coupe debuts Tokyo, sold next fall
RC F debuts Detroit,...not sure of sales debut

These statements are accurate with what I posted months ago.

The new coupe will arrive in U.S. dealerships in late 2014, said a company source speaking on condition of anonymity.

The RC will be powered by a 3.5-liter, 306-hp V-6 engine, same as the IS and GS sedans. A hybrid version will be offered in Japan and Europe, but not in the United States.

An RC-F performance version will be unveiled in January at the Detroit auto show. A Lexus source says the RC-F will be powered by a 460-hp V-8, up from 416 hp for the current IS-F.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly described the IS F. It is a sedan.

LOS ANGELES -- Lexus will add another coupe to its stable, supplementing its IS C retractable hardtop with a pure coupe, called the RC 350, that will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November.

The RC 350 will arrive in U.S. dealerships in late 2014, said a company source speaking on condition of anonymity.

It will be based on the LF-CC concept from the 2012 Paris auto show and will use Lexus' IS/GS platform. Prototypes of the new coupe were spotted recently during track testing in Germany.

The RC 350 will be powered by a 3.5-liter, 306-hp V-6 engine, the same as the IS and GS sedans. A hybrid version will be offered in Japan and Europe, but not in the United States.

An RC F performance version will be unveiled in January at the Detroit auto show. A Lexus source says the RC F will be powered by a 460-hp V-8 engine, up from 416 hp on the current IS F sedan. There currently is no coupe version of the IS F in the lineup.

By comparison, the BMW M3 has a 414-hp V-8, although insiders say the upcoming M4 coupe will have a 450-hp turbo-six engine.

At the introduction of the redesigned 2014 IS sedan in March, Lexus engineers said the IS C hardtop convertible would continue on the previous-generation platform for the immediate future.

In November, Lexus filed for a trademark for RC 350 and RC F with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Taillights are the same, but rear bumpers are completely different. Look at the reflectors on the RC,

The rear bumper looks completely different; and the cars ride height looks very different also. If you actually look at the lights, there's actually some difference between them too.

I would be pretty certain they're different cars.

Plus, if they let an unreleased car go out in zero camo months away from launch, you know someone's head would roll

I truly hope the the RC and RC-F looks like the LF-CC pictured above and isn't too watered down from the concept.

That LF-CC looks good enough to eat!

Probably Nebula Grey + PS/lighting but that IS F-Sport looks like that Ash Blue Mica offered on the GX a few years ago. Like a steel blue
