Well Kevin Hunter or some other Toyota/Lexus official has stated that the new RC will fill the gap left by the SC430.

M3s regularly push 90K when well-optioned to match an ISF.

Because I see a lot of FRS in the camo'd car's profile, but in a larger scale...

Would be great if it was. Just a thought.

Also Yamaha box behind the GS-F... woohoo!
I do agree that I do see some FRS in the profile. I think one thing we can agree on, is that it's odd for this protype to have various parts from different cars; tailights from GS, and front bumper with separate DLR from IS and side profile strongly resembling FRS.

Maybe this is to totally throw us all off and this prototype is the re-born Supra?!

Lexus LF-CC Expected to Reach Showrooms in 2015

The Lexus LF-CC coupe is likely to reach showroom floors in 2015 according to recent reports.

Work on a production model is set to start this month, according to AutoCar, with the model likely to come in both coupe and convertible form. Official information isn’t available, but the car is widely expected to run on the same platform as the new IS and GS models.

Styling is expected to remain much the same as the concept car while interior cues will also carry over as already previewed in the new IS.

When it reaches showrooms, the car will use a tweaked version of the hybrid drivetrain currently used in the GS350h, filling the slot left open by Lexus’ discontinued SC coupe model.

Lexus LF-CC coupé concept poised for production

Production LF-CC expected in 2015 as both coupé and cabriolet

The dramatic Lexus LF-CC coupé, which made its debut at the Paris show last September, is expected to morph into a showroom model by 2015.

Autocar understands that a senior Lexus engineer has been assigned to the project and serious work will start on production engineering this month. A Lexus source said the company wanted to build a car that was “exciting and emotional” and reflected Lexus’s intended future image as ‘sporting’ brand.

The new model is likely to come in both cabrio and fixed-head forms. It is thought to be based on the same rear-drive platform as the new IS and GS models, probably using the IS’s shorter wheelbase but the GS’s wider tracks. The styling is believed to be close to the LF-CC concept car’s. The interior of the concept will be carried over and it will also be seen in the new IS.

The production version will be a hybrid, most likely using a tweaked version of the GS350h’s drivetrain, which currently offers 300bhp.

Lexus sources said the company wanted to slot the new model into the space vacated by the old SC coupé-convertible, which was discontinued in 2010. Lexus’s first SC coupé, a fixed-head model, was launched in 1991.

Here are my list of observations:

https://www.clublexus.com/articles/i...now-so-far.php

IS F Coupe / RC F? Timeline:
  • 7/2012: IS F Convertible Spotted Testing at Nürburgring
  • 9/2012: LF-CC Concept Revealed at 2012 Paris Motor Show
  • 11/2012: RC F & RC 350 Trademarked
  • 3/2013: Future of IS F sedan uncertain
  • 7/2013: More RC F Renderings Surface
  • 7/2013: 2 Different "IS F Coupe" Prototypes Spied bearing temporary German license plates: DAU 0681 & DAU 0682

What we have observed about the IS F Coupe? spy shots:
  • Coupe Lines are similar to LF-CC Concept, but with a wider lower profile
  • Appears to be two door version of new 3rd Generation IS
  • LED Projector Headlamps appear to be more seperated from the LED DRL
  • Missing Foglamps
  • Wider more angular Spindle Grille
  • Large hood with new center hood scoop
  • Wider front fenders with signature "F" side vents
  • Larger rocker mouldings which kick up into the rear bumper like LF-CC and 3rd Generation IS
  • Wider rear profile, more pronounced quarter panels
  • Addition of LED turn signal mirrors
  • 19"? version of LFA Nürburgring Package BBS Forged Aluminum Wheel
  • Michelin Pilot Super Sport or PS3 Tires
  • Rear taillights are borrowed from 4th Generation GS
  • Signature "F" quad exhaust
  • Rear Bumper is wider and appears to have side vents
  • Rear Spoiler is not lip type, but appears it is moveable
  • Interior similar to new 3rd Generation IS
  • Yamaha sourced sparts
  • Remote Touch Controller replaced with what appears to be a touchpad

GS F?
  • 8/2011: 4th Generation GS Revealed at Pebble Beach
  • 3/2013: GS F Trademarked
  • 7/2013: GS F Spied in Germany with two "IS F Coupe" Prototypes

What we have observed about the GS F? spy shots:
  • Nebula Gray Pearl
  • Signature "F" quad tipped exhaust
  • TRD Japan F SPORT Rear Valence
  • TRD Japan F SPORT Rear Spoiler
  • Yamaha sourced parts

That would be great. Only thing is why would is it sporting the new Lexus face?

Its most likely the up coming Lexus RC / RC-F. It seems to be a mix of both the IS & GS. Which isn't a bad thing.

A new Supra is rumored to be in the works with BMW. We haven't even seen a concept yet so the spy photos probably aren't of a new MK5. But a Supra concept has been hinted for this year's Tokyo Motor Show.

That is a true valid statement. Now that the V8 SC430 is no longer produced, this new coupe will fill the gap for now. But they are in different league.

The new SC-F will be a 500+ hp car with a $100k+ MSRP.

This IS/RC coupe is at the BMW 3/4-series, Audi 4/5-series, Benz C/E-class level. SC is at the BMW 6/8-series, Benz SL, Jaguar XK level.

I understand your point, but is a new SC even in the works? Don't get me wrong I would love to see a new SC and or a GS coupe.

I know there is the LF-LC concept. But some reports are saying that it will called Lexus LC when it goes into production.

These are the same model BBS RE-Mg wheels as seen on the LFA prototype and LFA Nurburgring Edition.

But these are 19x10 the LFA has 20x11.5.

The LF-LC is the new SC.............sure they might change the name, LC, SC, KC.........but whatever it will be call, that is the new top of the line halo coupe.

This IS-C, RC.........is the entry level coupe in the Lexus brand.

maybe not the brakes but the lexus website states the front vents are indeed "functional," so, i'll just go w/ that.
