I installed it about 2 months ago. It did not do anything for Apple Car Play not connecting every time. I still experience having to turn off car start again to get it to connect about maybe 10% of the time. However I have two profiles for the car Mine and my wife's I found that if the car is locked and then unlocked (opened) by the person using the car it never has an issue connecting.
I just got a 2024 and it is on version 2050.
Does that mean that they don’t check that as part of the pre-delivery prep?
They would probably only do an update if one was actually pending on the car itself and prompted on startup. I'm still on 2050, no update available. I thought someone mentioned that the newer release stopped being pushed out for some reason.

It is a bit weird since my 2023 got a newer version than my 2024.
I guess I have to wait for Lexus to get to my VIN.
Any idea what would cause a vehicle not to be in the list?
My understanding is the updates are done by VIN on the database. However, I don't know how Lexus adds it to their system. That's why I ask you to go to your dealership to check. 2170 has been out for a while. Might need the tech specialist at your dealership to look into it.

@lsft maybe so, but to keep track of software updates by VIN seems very, very tedious and unnecessary.
On my recent visit to the dealership, I asked the head mechanics how often Lexus pushed updates to the infotainment system (compared to Genesis, which was once a quarter). He mentioned that they have one every 1.5 to 2 years only.
I was very surprised, but he mentioned that they only make a few changes once a vehicle is released.

Since owning my 2022 NX, I have had 4 updates to the Lexus Interface - so roughly 2 a year?
you had the first model year, so they fixed a bunch of stuff
I have had the 2024 model for almost a year, and no update, so I guess it depends on the model year
