Once again, spoke too soon. Service said “sucks to be you, shoulda bought the 14” screen.” Did give the Lexus 1-800 CS #. Supposed to call us back tomorrow.
Edit to add: Service tried his phone and it didn't work, so he said it must be my phone. Logic anyone? Looks like they got my money, so on to the '25's. Not liking the lexus/toyota blowoff philosophy. I will ask CS if I can go back to the version that worked. I would say I wouldn't buy again, but what manufacturer doesn't have a load of electronic crap on it nowadays? Does anyone leave well enough alone if it works and doesn't send out an untested update? Unfortunate, because I think the 2.5 hybrid is a very good drivetrain. Might go Hyundai/Kia next time; it looks like they're trying. I am getting sick of taking this in all the time to try this try that on the screen, and nobody really has a clue. I feel service should be calling national for me to get an update version that works.
I’ve said more in private, but essentially I want a tech to load the previous version and lock it out. Keep what I bought.
You might have problems when your phone updates to the latest OS or app gets updated if you lock the updates. Unless you pause everything, but then you will be vulnerable to security holes.
At the end you never win.

While I understand what you are saying and believe it "could" be a problem later on, NONE of the other makes in my driveway have these Apple IOS update mismatches. '12 & '16 Chevy, '13 Ford, '17 VW, and '21 Ram - all never updated. Interesting that the service guys phone worked in another size/version, and not mine.

Is their phone newer or older than yours? What phone do you have?
Has anybody found a fix to the iMessage issue? I’m on the latest iOS. It was fixed for a little bit then I updated my car software and it crapped out again! 😒

You need to explain what is the iMessage issue? You can't send? You can't use voice dictation? It can't read out your message?

when I use Siri (voice control) to send a message it doesn’t let Me. Siri doesn’t even finish her sentence. I also use Siri to make calls and that works fine. This was an issue before and Apple fixed it but now I feel it’s a Lexus thing because it came back once I updated my software.
I should also say that you should be getting ahold of Lexus USA/Canada/etc to add your voice to the crowd. They'll get up and on it if enough people complain. Your dealer is helpless, other than tallying up the downed customers for Lexus, and they advise you to call.
Accident happened to me last time.I have updated software and my screen stopped to work. After some investigation my vin I saw that for 7 hours lexus published wrong update. So, I checked carfax report to contact with the delaer that previous owner got my car. tehare are lots of cheap source to buy carfax but I used https://vindeck.com.becuase it is cheaper I guess but again use whatever source you want
