Hello all, Im not sure where else to ask this but I just received my 067/165 ultimate edition this morning and when offloading it the truck driver damaged the entire underside of the bumper all around it, the dealer insists that they have the colour to fix it but they also say that they've never had to deal with this type of paint (I'm in Spain and apparently its the only Ultimate Edition in Spain) has anyone had their satin paint fixed correctly? my main fear is that they won't be able to replicate the satin finish, I am even considering not fixing it so I dont run the risk of having a chunk be glossy white any help will be appreciated. This type of damage is all around the front bumper
Holy cow. Sadly, I would refuse delivery unless dealer could order a new factory painted bumper from Japan. I would not accept this vehicle in this paint brand new with a repair.
Thank you for the swift reply. The transport company is subcontracted and apparently has nothing to do with the dealer, they told me that they would repaint the section but couldn't do more, ill ask for them to paint a test on some spare metal or something for me to see if it is acceptable. the model apparently isn't even sold in Spain since may 2024 so everything is a struggle

That is typically how it is. I would push dealer to claim transport company insurance for a new bumper painted.
I understand your situation is more difficult for coming across an LC at all let alone a limited trim, but personally, I would not accept this vehicle without commitment of a new factory bumper. By their own admission they don't know what their repair will look like.
If this happened to me in your situation and Lexus did not want to make it right, personally I would leave the car and shop another brand entirely.

OMG.
Really tough spot to be in when you want the car, particularly a very special edition.
Agree that the paint could/will be hard to match but an expert painter who has experience with satin and matt paints would be better able to provide advice.
I do wonder if getting a brand new factory painted bumper, ever so slight paint differences might still be noticeable under certain light conditions - appearances relative to neighbouring white panels - since it’s a different batch of paint?
I expect a local paint expert would have to remove the entire bumper cover to respray it completely. I do not expect a “blow in” or “blend” would provide a paint match.
My same concern for a new factory painted bumper applies to a local expert removed and completely painted bumper where under particular light conditions you see slight paint differences with neighbouring satin white panels.
The other question to ask yourself is will you satin/matt ppf all the front end body panels/whole car once the bumper is repaired (and paint properly cured!)?
If yes, the ppf should help to reduce/eliminate any appearance issues.
However - presuming you take delivery of the car - the first priority is to have the bumper repaired to “as close to perfection.”
I expect the dealership will be getting compensation from the vehicle delivery company (damage insurance) so I would negotiate to have the
dealership cover/help with ppf costs before paying and taking vehicle delivery.
I hope you and the dealership find a solution that restores your joy and excitement for your beautiful new car.

Thank you so much for the reply, it is very much appreciated. I am not in a position were I can (or want to) refuse delivery of the car. the LC hasn't been sold in Spain for a while and this edition specifically apparently was never even available so I had to import one from Germany and therefore it has already been payed in full.
The dealer has been very helpful and hearing all this advice i am going to do is request them to paint a random piece of plastic before they even touch the car so I can examine the finish they achieve side by side in different lightings, i will also see ask about ordering a new bumper from Japan as the transport company has agreed to pay for all the damages. Depending on the test section I may just leave the part untouched as it is only really visible from a specific low angle so id rather that than risk having a patch of glossy or different white.
I've been told that transport company put in 3 litres of fuel as it didn't have enough to get on the truck but when they were offloading it and tilting the ramp the little fuel that was left would rush to the back and shut the engine off, so the truck driver decided to just unload it without fully extending the ramp to reduce the angle, he basically flung it off the back scraping the entire bottom and obviously the front bumper (the dealer has also offered to give it a full checkup incase that caused damage to the suspension). It was even more saddening to hear about this as knowing this could have been avoided with a 20€ fuel canister which I would've happily payed for (especially when I got an email saying they charged me to fuel it up). This has sadly soured what was supposed to be a happy day receiving my dream car in my favourite colours but all the advice and replies are much appreciated thank you all

Hit a bird at about 70mph today. It wedged half of itself into the space between the grill and the hood. Did a number on my PPF leaving a pretty decent gouge, but I guess this is why we have PPF. I don't think it made it thru to the paint

Staying with the Flare Yellow theme, I took pictures today of the work in progress on my 2025. First pics are before and after for the rear valance, with chrome and then painted over the chrome in glossy black. Second set of pics is before and after for the chrome strip on the side mirrors were painted black. Car is still at the detailer to get PPF and ceramic coating this week. May take a bit longer because of the cold temps in Houston. This will allow the color scheme to stay consistent with the smoked chrome option I had on the car. Also, debadging the LC 500 from the rear. Chrome exhaust tipes Chrome is blacked out in gloss black. Chrome strip on side mirror. Blacked out (painted).
