i cant get better than 18mpg in the city. Every possible maintenance is up to date, tried ecu resets etc...
highway I can get 23.5 mpg but city driving mileage is horrible. Worse than my old RX350 that weighed like 600 pounds more.

The 3IS has the same bushings and suspension design, it is just matter of when, not if it will happen as far as I'm concerned
Is that a DIY type of thing? 😁

Quick question, How long before you start noticing this "eating tires" issue?
I have done 13,000 miles in 7 months with no sign of abnormal wear and I don't exactly drive like grandpa.

You definitely should have seen it by now. You’ve checked the inside part of your tire recently?

Weekly along with fluid levels and a once over to make sure everything is ok.

That's surprising. My stock summer tires were showing signs of inner tire wear (not a lot) by 8,000 miles which is when I bought my Michelin A/S 3+ for the winter. I have the GS-F/RC-F LCA bushings installed though so I'm curious to see how my Michelin's look when I reinstall the summer tires in about 2 months.

Mine also, to the point the front tires started shredding!!
bought my Michelin A/S 3+
Me too so rotated the rear tires and they highly recommended a 4-wheel alignment - costs $180. Did you get an alignment?

Alignment won’t help in this case. You need stiffer lower control arm bushings. That’s why I got the RCF/GSF bushings and installed them.

So the big girl is getting up in age she is at 67K and going in tomorrow for her big 60K service, What bushings do you recommend to resolve this issue before it even starts.
Just a note I had an oil change, filter and plugs changed at 65K so the ppl that will jump on me for not servicing at 60k can rest well at nights now.

You could add Paint chips forward of rear wheel to the list. TSB is referenced in thread.

Figs or RR Racing poly bushings are popular but much stiffer than stock so you’ll feel a little more vibration etc. The GSF/RCF bushings are an option too. More oem and less stiff, people seem to be getting good results with these (I haven’t put enough miles on mine to see the efffects yet).
