Following this thread with interest, I'm at work and just found this...sorry if it's a dupe post. But this is super cheap. The only negative I can see so far is the 1GB of RAM...has anyone tested this model?

It looks like the same model just the lower end spec version using the Allwinner T3 instead of the T8
"There are 3 different non-compatible versions of T3 hardware and software, Default one (sleep mode added later and not so good), New one (firmware is a development of R16 branch), and K2001 (usually very compact and cheaper). Allwinner T8 head units continue and develop the same firmware branch - V9.x.x on T8, V8.x.x on T3 New (V8.3.x with Android 7.1) and V7.x.x on R16. Most tips and tricks from T3 (new one) will work on T8." -XDA Developers
It might be worth looking into which version it is, asking the seller might get you the info

So topnavi001 told me that the $35 cost of the USA CanBus was for current customers and $70 for non customers. So I asked what would it cost to purchase an Android Unit with USA CanBus and an additional USA CanBus and they tell me the cost of the Android unit ($456) plus shipping plus $80 for the additional USA CanBus unit plus $20 shipping. So If I become a customer the additional USA CanBus is now $100 😤🤬🤯
Just received my unit from topnavi. I really want to test it out at home with an external 12v power supply before I install it in my car, does anyone know which pins to connect +12v in? Based on the wiring label sticker on the unit, is it pin 1? and ground pin 6? anyone know what "power cathode" means?
Just confirmed that mine does too, really sad. have you heard from the vendor?
This is why I stay far away from these POS Chinese units. Have a audio shop do a custom install not one of these POS horrible sounding units. There for people who don't listen to music
In the case of automobile usage, the "power cathode" is the 12 volt negative connection or ground.
Thanks DennisMik. If "power cathode" is negative (yellow wire may be indicative of constant 12v too...) any idea what pin 6 ground is used for? Does that me I can use either pin 5 (power cathode) or pin 6 (ground) to power the device?
