Both my MCU and hardware are different than yours. That sucks if root is needed to fix the problem. I remember seeing rooted version of the firmware for earlier android 6 or 7 on 4pda awhile back.
How do I backup the rom? I wanna upload it on XDA and see if someone can just root it.
Hello, I'm looking for the canbus just like in your photo, can you please let me know where to order them from? or maybe you can sell your original one if not used? Thank you

Hello!
I bought my orange US/NorthAmerica CANBUS adapter directly from the eBay user who sold me the head unit. Their username is/was “topnavi001”. Here’s a link to their profile: https://ebay.com/usr/topnavi001
Sorry I meant USA. It was late at night and I make typing mistakes when I'm tired. If you look at all the options in the Extra Settings there's a lot of stuff there that might effect the airbag light. I've had the OBD2 connector disconnected without any changes in how the stereo functions. I left it plugged in cause why not? If you can, compare your cardbus version to mine cause if it's the same then it maybe a setting in the Extra Settings. When I get a chance I'll share some photos of my Extra Settings to help you compare to yours. For now here's a photo I've taken for my Skype conversation with my seller. There's a lot of settings here I don't understand. RDS, BC6, BC8? Who knows what those do?
For now the stereo is removed from the car cause I'm waiting for the reverse camera and the radio antenna splitter. I don't wanna put it back in and take it out when in a day or two I'll be getting these things. I did install the USB ports inside the center console arm rest using a special socket I found off Ebay. I'll make a video about it once the project is done.
I have the same unit. But it's stuck in a boot loop. I need help from your seller. Need info on how to restore. My seller disappeared. Help please

I have a different unit that looks almost like the OEM nav stereo, and is stuck in a boot loop. I had to buy another motherboard and am currently waiting for it.

That was years ago. I have no idea who or where that seller is today. Mine still doesn't have internet access because these stereos phone home to someplace in China and that place disappeared before COVID started. Currently my IS250 is disabled because the interior lights fuse keeps blowing and I took out the stereo along with all the interior lights to see if I can figure out what's causing the short.
There must be a method to boot into bootloader and clear the cache. I wouldn't go as far as to restore the stereo just yet. Thing is I don't know how to invoke the boot loader on this device, and with my car in pieces I can't turn it on to find out. You might wanna try xda-developers.com and ask around. Try holding down the reset button before powering on the stereo to see if that invokes a boot loader. Think you need a needle to press the reset button.

Yea I've replaced unit with a Tesla screen. But still itching to figure this one out. Been tinkering no luck this far. Can't find a button combo. Do believe it's a quantity of reset button pushes. I have had the lights blink but must of missed the next step. I have it hooked to a DC power supply just to tinker
I thought my radio died but it wasn't the radio's fault but the amp in the trunk. I found that out the hard way as I assumed this failed like all the other Chinese Android radio's I've had in other cars. I changed the capacitors for higher quality ones and a new IC AMP chip. It does sound better, especially the radio as it sounds more clear. The reception didn't improve much but the sound is better, and nearly OEM quality. Which makes the built in Chinese radio more usable.
Do you remember the seller and name of unit? I have the same one and I'm trying to figure out makes and seller so I can get a update file. Any info would be great thank you

Honestly no. It's been years and my stereo hasn't been able to connect to internet, plus the car sat all winter due to a short blowing a fuse in the interior. I'm still putting the interior together and still have plans to root the stereo and see if I can fix the internet not found. Maybe updating the rom might also fix the no internet found issue I'm having. I'll look into it.

I can't track down the seller, as I'm sure they're in some part of China hell, but I was able to find a XDA thread where people have been updating their firmware that's similar to what I have in my stereo, and assuming you do too. The thread is located here, and someone did mention an update called V7.3.1_20170328.110219_TW2-Orig+root.rar which soulds like it would give me root. It could be here but I can't find it, nor do I have access to Yandex since I need to register to download and it won't send me texts to activate my account. A user by the name of electro_bordeaux1 at XDA says he has it and I'm trying to contact him to see if he can give me a copy.
@LEXXXUS801 I didn't find a way to upgrade the stereo's software as hunting down a working file has been problematic. I was able to get wifi working properly again and permanent root as well. First you want to download Kingoroot and Superuser onto a USB drive formatted to Fat32. Install Kingoroot and run it, and it should successfully root. I've tried this in the past and it didn't work, but it works surprisingly well now. Also Kingroot, not to be confused with Kingoroot still doesn't work. Once Kingoroot successfully roots then remove SuperUser and then install SuperUser from the apk. Kingoroot installs it's own SuperUser. Then remove Kingoroot and reboot but using a paperclip into the small hole in front of the device. You should have perma root.
To get Wifi working again just enter these commands into Terminal Emulator. You could do this as soon as Kingoroot roots, if you don't care. I was able to download V7.3.2_20180124.145308_KED1-mod.rar but my stereo doesn't want to update to it. One guy had his brother die and the other person is from Russia and hasn't replied on XDA forums since September. This is a huge step for me since I haven't been able to use the stereo's Wifi for nearly 3 years, and I'm fine with the way it works. If someone does supply an update that's root I'll let you know.

Hi @Dukenukemx , If you have root may I ask you a favor? Last week my headunit decided not turning on anymore (stuck on android logo every time), the only way I could fix it was by updating the firmware using a custom recovery and a modded rom I got from 4PDA (it comes with root), everything is fine but I have no longer the "Original car" radio app because those firmware are for other cars/MCU , so my original radio does not work anymore (I cannot use AM/FM, AUX, CD) , I really want to try to install the original radio app from your firmware, if you could provide me with that apk (and the launcher apk if you don't mind) to try would be great!
