And the car never got about 30mph as far as i saw.
He's driving in his neighborhood that's why.

It is because it has 3 EV motors. The Mclarens and Porches are obsolete tech….when Porsche adds similar style motors to their cars…they will catch them. Same with Mclaren etc etc.

The car companies that can get the weight down in the future will be the winners….those with good handling that goes with the speed.

kudos to Tesla for doing this…it really is a great marvel.

Overall I think this was a HUGE mistake by Tesla.

They improved the car tech and performance significantly but the design is unchanged inside and out.
Tesla needs to be a step ahead of all the new EVs that are coming- having fresh futuristic styling goes a long way. The interior is pure disaster for $100k car.

The decision to put these controls into the steering wheel and screen aren't cost cutting lol

4766 to be exact, still a heavy beast. Maybe the supercars were taking it easy.

The interior is unchanged? Here is an old and new pic. It sure doesn't look the same to me.

The interior is that of an $80k car. The Plaid version is a $50k trim that makes the car the fastest accelerating production car ever made (until Rimac gets into production). For wealthy owners, the $50k is probably worth it to go embarrass M5s

I agree. It's all design decisions at that level. Cost cutting would be to put much cheaper silicon for gaming vs PS5 level CPU/Gpu combo as those costs are much higher than stalks. Lol.

Umm for higher spec trims (ie M5, E63 etc) the interior follows suit with different design trim.

They weren't going full blast for sure but the Plaid model already set a slightly faster time around Laguna Seca than the P1. Also, Pobst was driving which means he's easily the best driver on the track at any time.

This is Tesla. You expect too much from them

Listen i like Tesla but let’s call them out when they fall short - same tired exterior styling and plain interior is not going to help Model S get marketshare especially with cool EVs like Taycan and Audi Etron GT.
