Tesla Model S Plaid

That means it will sell like crazy. I know that's your point but I am convinced Jill says the opposite of what she believes for effect.
All the brands are doing this. The Plaid is like 2X the price of the base model. Just like how a RCF Track is 2X the price of the RC base. I don’t think they will sell A LOT them. But some.

if all you care about is bragging rights and straight line EV acceleration, sure. until something inevitably comes along that's even faster.
Nothing really competes with the Plaid as its more premium sport vs. luxury sport and its much much more powerful than the Taycan Turbo S.
$160k fully loaded with taxes doesn't seem too expensive for the having a toy car thats probably the fastest accelerating production daily driver ever made (at least in the quarter mile).

Again, a toy for the rich thats a relative bargain compared to other supercars.
i just wish the interior was nicer. the taycan and etron-gt destroy the model S in that regard but if all you care about is driving a missile, then go for it.
Styling is subjective, what people consider luxury is also. I personally think the Taycan interior is dreadful and will age poorly. It's already happening the more I see it the worse it looks. But that is opinion, like you saying the S is not a luxury car.
I always thought the S was a luxury car. I remember seeing it at the Tesla Store in the mall for the first time. The way they did things were so different, that is what made them stand out. I think if they made a traditional style interior, most consumers would just ignore a Tesla. I do think it’s a great idea that they have the screen behind the steering wheel as well as the one in the middle. Not sure I think the single screen of the three or the Y are a great idea
To say someone is different, and to say they are "humbled" are different things. Certainly people age and change and experiences change them, but when you say one is "humbled" you suggest that they are somehow deflated or diminished by a set of circumstances and thats not what the case was with Jobs. Jobs was in the drivers seat with Apple in 1997.
Saw this: Looks like it hits the claimed time just about right on the money, kudos.

From what I can gather the power gains come from better motors, better software and cooling. The battery pack itself is also new has the cells arranged differently and there is about 200 pounds in weight reduction. I am disappointed we didn't get the 4680 cells, wouldn't make the car faster by much if at all but substantially better range.
Can't complain though Tesla now has the fastest car on the road and the fastest car ever make. What more can you ask for?

Not knocking the plaid though, it's a remarkable achievement and i enjoyed elon musk's very quirky presentation.
