I like the interior update, exterior too. I think the in dash screen of the outgoing model was better but I can see why they updated to a table screen. I like the cell phone chargers and buttons bellow. Steering wheel is cool too

Whoa whoa that "half" steering wheel made it into production??????

That plus the insane speed, people will be crashing these left and right. Remember....one, two...you're at 60. People will get these going at insane speeds and then instinctively reach for a part of the wheel that's not there, dead.

Not to mention "AI" that supposedly shift for you probably won't work and people will assume they won't have to do anything. The video I posted the guy pulled in front of the garage and he wanted to reverse but car won't do anything. I can see someone thinking it will reverse and then car goes forward.

That yoke thing looks awkward as hell. That would be the first mod i do to it if I had one....round steering wheels will be a popular 3rd party accessory.

on other hand, there are already released yoke 3rd party accessories for Model 3... I am looking for impressions, it could be a cool mod.

Toyota has one coming too. Plus the Toyota will have steer by wire steering for all the wheels, the US spec doesn’t have the yoke. . I think Tesla is exploring steer by wire as well.

at 1:45 did he accidentally hit the horn? Is it like every car hitting the air bag or another featureless touch area on the tiny wheel?

And the car never got about 30mph as far as i saw.

one question i noticed is that the new S no longer has the dual brake calipers in the rear? (i think one was used for the parking brake).

You also have to grow accustomed to a blinker on the steering wheel? What a disaster. People are literally going to kill themselves with these.

I disagree. I think they are pursuing minimalism to the nth degree so removing the stalks is just a design decision. Adding capacitive ability on the steering wheels and beneath the wireless charging ports for gear selecting is probably more expensive than having the stalks.
