Towed for the first time this weekend. AHC is great, ride is almost indentical as unloaded. Plenty of grunt from the V8. Notice how level AHC makes it. I know there are better tow vehicles but a 200 is still good. I could tow that boat across country NO problem. You hardly know it’s there. Idk how trailer sway control works but it does.

Add in full time 4WD and you have a lot of traction. Very nicely done
You'll enjoy towing with it. The V8 in my Tundra just pulls and pulls. I have not (thankfully) ever had to try out the sway control in the Tundra. I use sway control on my hitch which is very effective, but it's good to know the truck can help out a bit if needed.

Nice, it does work well for sure. I have auto leveling air on my tow vehicle and the same engine/trans as you and 7000 just doesn't cause an issue at all lol!
love to see the land cruiser being put through its paces...
when i was at toyota i got to do a bit of reading about how i-Force works, it's a fairly neat system! basically it uses your throttle inputs in conjunction with the known acceleration capability of the truck, and when there's there's a big enough mismatch (such as from the extra weight of a trailer) the engine timing is automatically adjusted to compensate
and yea the auto height control can really come in handy
It is great condition. Body on frame as well. Can tow 7500lbs. Air suspension. Also made with American labor
And if it's a later one it had 330lb/ft of torque and 260hp. They were pretty freakin fast once GM dropped the correct engine into them. And yep, before the SUV craze. BOF cars could tow massive amounts, it just doesn't seem right but it's how it was.
I remember a magazine article where they had a guy wigged up to look like a Grandmother while burning some serious rubber. Imagine all that power, that engine with no tach though, boo.

Do you know how sway control works? Like I said what surprised me is how ridiculously easy towing that boat was, across country no problem.
And yes, the engine is very, very strong...love it. Just driving around in traffic you can barely tell you're towing and it still shifts completely normally. That wasn't a super huge load, but more than half of the tow rating and that's as much as I'd ever tow so it's fine.
‘Your LX570 has trailer sway control. However, yours is ALWAYS on by default.
Lol does anyone know how it works? I just noticed compared to my GMC towing I don't feel like I always need to check the mirrors because the trailer doesn't wander at all.
