Checked out the link and good stuff there.

Noticed the equation suggests it's all about the Torque.
I'm guesing that would all depend on the car and what speed and gearing they have to achieve max torque and efficiency.

Here's the equation from the link.

Absolutely.

There's OP.
Approx what you get.
Guessing the S560 is a 5.6L
4.0T like mine, he gets almost the exact same as my A8

W222 S560 uses a 4.0 BiTurbo V8. Mercedes stopped using displacement in their names years ago.

You generally require a ridiculous amout The SUVs simply require way more power to maintain a higher speed. *not too sure about that reading for one reason or another, but the -fse in the 450h has a different intake cam phaser and can shift the intake vvt-i 20deg. later, so... maybe.

Plenty of decent discussion here (no, don't read just the OP, read with a grain of salt, etc, etc)

The 450H FSE and the FKS both have bias for EPA test speeds from what I have seen

I'd even go so far as to say drive it up to 20mph or so (straight), let it upshift once. Gear whine in Low is normal just fwiw for everyone.

Working and lurking on here, as usual.
Already Thursday and week almost gone and I'm so far behind on things.

Anyone hear or see anything interesting car related?

Saw a new 1794 Edition Tundra, loaded. Weird thing….no locking gas door….two spots over … Capstone Tundra…lock door for gas. If that is not super cheap of Toyota, I dunno what is. I wish my 21 4R had such a lock…my 04 has one

Regarding -FKS gas mileage, I think it's quite interesting how big of a spread there is between city and highway driving for me. Since I refueled, I have been doing almost entirely city driving and have averaged 19 or so MPG. Most tanks have a little highway sprinkled in and thus get around 22-23 MPG average. It'll do 30+ on the highway easily.

Saw a previous gen BMW 4-series coupe parked right next to a brand-new 4-series coupe. I hate to say it, since I don't love the beaver teeth. The new car does look a lot more modern. Also the tan interior on the new car is nice.

My morning commute was pretty uninteresting until someone in a Camry TRD pulled besides me at the light. I saw him previously zig zagging around other cars, so I said why not. Pulled on him at the light and saw him try to catch up. At the next light was complete proof that having too much power (what is it, 301 hp?) in a FWD platform without at least an LSD is pretty silly as he was having trouble getting going with the combo tire spin, torque steer and the nannies kicking in. Left him way behind and after hitting 60 I slowed back down. He eventually shot past me going over 70, and I was back to my boring morning commute.

I will say the TRD Camry is a nice looking Camry, Especially this one in bright red, but I would rather just spend a little more and get an IS350. If I were to buy another Camry, it would probably just be an XSE V6 in grey or silver

Had to look up the gen 4 BMW, yeah looks kinda poser a little to me but I love BMW's too.

In these days we live in I like a locking or remote fuel door, even though it can be popped open with a screw driver if someone wanted in.
Maybe a locking gas cap too for extra protection, just thought of that.

Funny, so you served him up a slice of humble pie to start his day! haha
I'm guessing you were running the Polestar, if so forget it from the videos I seen on here lately, poor kid never had a chance.

IMO, the Camry is arguably a better daily, even as a TRD, but then again, I've heard the suspension is a little firm. I agree though, it sounds appealing and looks not-bad as well. I'm glad they didn't go off the deep end with the styling.

I hate to say it, but the V-6 Camry has better power-to-weight than an IS, assuming the stated figures reflect reality. But power isn't everything, as you saw. FWD means it's traction-limited. My RWD IS 350 has absolutely no wheelspin on decent pavement in a straight line. Though, I would say 265-width rear tires might be overkill...

I've driven both the Camry XSE V6 and the 2021 IS350 (as well as owned a 2nd Gen IS350 Sport), and the Camry is the more comfortable car. But I would take the IS350 over the Camry anyday. The Camry has much longer gears, so at steady hwy speeds it's almost like an EV. I've never driven a TRD, but I've heard the suspension is much stiffer, but it's not really a sports car because the engine and transmission tuning is no different from any other Camry with the 3.5L V6. Plus after going both RWD and AWD, I just can't go back to fwd. I had to drop my brother in law an his family off to the airport in my Sienna, and FWD is just terrible with cars with open diff. When you floor it or go hard to merge you can feel the torque steer...even in the Sienna

No kidding. BMW does same thing but not as bad as MB. 40i for 3.0. 50 for 4.4. MB... 350 for 2.0. 450 for 3.0 580 for 4.0. And people claim this is for marketing purpose. Sure. Lol

BMW just upped it again this year for the 2023 X7. There's the X7 xDrive40i with the 3.0, and now the X7 M50i (2022) has been renamed X7 M60i still the same 4.4L V8 non M engine. 50 to 60 simply to charge more smh
