Very few people can notice such badges at all when you're doing funky stuff. That said, a silver A8 isn't exactly a hard car to recognize if they have their brands right.
I'm sitting here trying to picture.
It was a silver sedan and had W12 on the back but that's all I know.
They absolutely notice it, I've seen people react to them all the time in traffic taking pictures or pointing. Many have also walked up and asked me about it and there is no way to know what it is other than those badges.
Me too. And there’s nothing wrong with those front ends! The E55 I want the most is the original, it’s beautiful just like yours.
the W210 you mean? yea that's a great car... it might technically be the most AMG of all the AMG models for the sole reason that major assembly of the car was done in the affalterbach factory
after that car the AMG factory pretty much just built the engines themselves and shipped them to sindelfingen where they were installed alongside the E320 and 500 models
speed wise it's obviously nothing like the Kompressor model that followed but the W210 E55 is a damn solid choice for a reliable daily car... M113 V8, 722.6 5-speed, and straightforward coil springs!

It's not like a V8 badge. It's a 12
I think a lot of that might be in your head lol. I highly doubt people are taking pictures of a nondescript silver Audi. Enthusiasts sure but 9 out of 10 people don’t even notice the car in general.

Okay man, it's been over 20 interactions in parking lots now. Etc etc, mostly VW/Germans guys but it does get way more attention than my 4.0 ever did

something tells me that you get the attention and not your cars haha
i haven't been to ohio other than to use the airport, but from my elitist new yorker city boi perspective (but mostly from what you've said in the past lol) i have this idea of you being in a tightly knit community where the local folks will go oh here comes that striker again in one of his fancy foreign cars
just for the record, i think that W12 badge should get a lot of attention, but it's my experience in general that over 99% of the public literally couldn't care less what kind of engine a car has

Somebody saying something nice to you in a parking lot vs people taking pictures of your car out on the street are different things. And yeah, enthusiasts know what it is but not the general public. To most people on the road there is no difference between the two.
People take pictures of Ferraris and Bentleys and Rolls Royces, not silver Audi A8s.

LOL. I agree though, no one outside of luxury sedan and VWAG enthusiasts would give it a second glance. Even fewer would bother with a picture. Reminds me of when I pointed out a W12 Phaeton to my husband in a parking lot a while back. He just stared at me blankly and was like "so they made a big Passat with 12 cylinders? Did people like that?"

Love the heated steering wheel. Does your LX heat the whole rim? That’s one thing I hated about my Lexus cars with them, they only heat the leather parts.

I live in a rich area, these are random people not anyone I know or see twice lol! Columbus is huge, one of the largest cites in the US

No you are right, the picture is usually of the engine after I open the hood to show it
My GS and my Highlander have heated steering wheels. I love them. It constantly irks me that the Tundra doesn't have it, especially since it's the vehicle that sits outside and needs it the most.
