ioniq 6 is an interesting vehicle but really not sure the point of getting one over the much roomier ioniq 5.

Definitely better than a 3 or Y, in materials and design. It’s not a luxury car obviously but I thought it felt nice for what it is.

so is it the total price of carnival/tellurides you think isn't worth it, or just the principle of not paying over msrp?
Both. If you lease the markup kills the lease. I would be open to buying a Telluride or Palisade but not a Carnival. Compare to a Pacifica which has big discounts off MSRP which makes them very attractive to lease. Same as a Grand Cherokee. $76,000 sticker GC I can get for $715 a month.

why not just let her make the choice?
Nope lol. I’m the car guy and she doesn’t care about cars. Believe me I defer in many many other places in life!

How much does the lease actually run you over 3 years though? It can't be that much relative to buying it

Depends on the car and the deal. Minivans also tend to have very poor depreciation which makes leasing more Attractive since you’re locked into a residual.

So I think I’m going to order an S580. My dealer has an allocation and says he can get me a custom ordered car by the end of the year. None of the cars on the ground have the features I want, and they have extraneous features I don’t want which means I would be paying the same price for stuff I don’t want where I could be paying that price and have what I actually want…

We’ll see. Going to talk to them about what that looks like on Monday.

Did you order your current car? I would think that Mercedes would have a good custom order system?

No, I have never ordered a car. I’ve always bought off the lot.

Well I'm lightly enraged. Just did a major air suspension job and the supplied "new and good" relay in the kit was DOA and made me freak out that I installed bad parts/screwed up.

Nope, just low quality junk from overseas. Was just a long day....

Here are pics, I didn't take much more. I was angry, so meh sorry for details

Oh and this damn thing had a totally welded on lug, broke my Mac extractor, can't torch it, and expended 19-16mm sizes in attempts to move it. Ended up just using a die grinder.

Lug/stud, technically all in frame.....

Freaking idiots never maintaining cars and letting them sit.
