I like how a shiny dash looks until I have to drive the car. The glare is problematic for me.
I agree. I use Protectant 303, very low sheen so there's no glare. Also, since it was originally made to be used on watercraft, it works well here in the Florida sun.
I'm very temped to ask if they will take $1400.....I really want a manual X-type and this one has the correct colors.
At the very bottom it says the car is $1,400 above average price (which would suggest these typically sell for $1k). Does that make the Jaguar X type the cheapest old used car someone could buy? I did a quick search on AutoTrader and you can't buy a 2004 Corolla with similar miles for under $5k.

Oh they are stupid cheap when not absolutely perfect and sub 100k miles, I would hit them with $1250 and would be willing to pay $1650 max. Even so for what you pay they really are quite nice cars, not horrible to live with and don't constantly break. Ride is surprisingly nice as is handling etc....I really liked mine for the short time I owned it, heck I liked it so much I've been looking ever since for another one lol!
I just want a manual trans example in green/silver, this one is not too far gone that I can't save it.
Sorry for double post, I'm on my phone and can't make copy and paste work most of the time.

What color is your dash?
Mine is black with a light texture so I don't get much glare but I get the shine and that's what it's all about.

I'm down here in Fl too!
I'll pick up a bottle and do a comparo, sounds like fun.
I've never seen manual Jag, had no idea they existed.
Does this one have the Brittish engine or the Ford?
Ford again, it's very similar to the one I had but a bit lower spec. Main thing is that it is manual this time, same engine but the 3.0L "top dog" engine instead of the mid spec 2.5L engine I had so 30hp more plus manual should give me mid 6s 0-60 vs 8.4ish....
I don't really care that it's fast or not, mostly just want a manual Jag for the fun of it and to drive back and forth to work instead of my Jeep. After that crash my family was in I really just don't feel the same way about it anymore and am actively looking for a nice/clean LR3 or Q7 TDI to replace it with, I've been driving the W12/4.0TT to work and back ever since that crash......put my wife in the LS460 as well. Not trusting inherently weak cars anymore.
EDIT: Oh hey! You are down in Florida! Want to see if it's a lost cause before I drive down lol!?!
It sure does lol. That Armor All shine is so 70's.
Yeah lol! I like some shine but nothing like that, I usually go back and do a dry microfiber rub after I apply the shine/UV protectant as well to "level" the look/gloss level and ensure there is nothing there to smudge or take finger prints.

Wait, patience...
Eventually it will be back in style and I will be ahead of everyone when it does, for the first time in my life. Haha
Skipping the bell bottoms this time tho but boot cut is ok is wearing proper boots.
FYI, That listing says Edgewater, which is about 10 miles south of New Smyrna (so 20ish miles south of Daytona)
Well that sucks, 3 hours north of me.
If it was local I'd go check it out and get the scoop.
Gonna need a lot of pics.
Of couse I'm speaking to the choir cuz ya'll already know that.
Just FYI- vin can be run on Florida DMV website for outstanding leins and title status.
Ps-
Florida cars does NOT always mean rust free!
We have a huge snowbird population here and many cars lived their early years up north, like New York, and may be total rust buckets.
