We take other kids with us a lot, and we use the third row whenever we go anywhere with someone in addition to our kids, so when we go somewhere with my mom, when we do things with my cousin and his wife, etc. The dog also sits on the third row when we travel...

Looked at them there, they have grown on me a lot but this will be our travel vehicle and EV isn't there yet for that...they aren't quite as big inside either.

cargo room behind 3rd row isn't quite as big but other than that, the eqs suv dimensions are actually bigger.

Its not the space, its the overall layout. The room behind the third row is really important, but the second row in the EQS can't be had with captains chairs, which we need since kids will be climbing in the back so often, it also is considerably tighter in the third row and even the second row when you actually get into it and play around with the seating...

The EQS SUV is also considerably more expensive

Agreed on the layout. Access to the 3rd row is as important as the space provided by it. I wish my Rivian had the option for captain's chairs, but with my daughter moving to a backless booster that'll be the default 3rd row entry side

The GLS has power tilt seats to allow access but they are very slow, and you have to hold the button down, good luck convincing kids they need to do that. They need to just be able to get in and walk between the seats.

It's definitely a point where minivans win The magic slide seats in the Ody are still my favorite

Sliding seats sounds like a nice touch.

Sliding side door is nice too.

The GLS is a standout in that segment for sure. Tried to get my wife to consider one when we were looking before but she was concerned it was a bit too big for her day to day. She preferred a 2-row which is how we've got her in the X5 now. But GLS had everything we were looking for aside from a hybridized/PHEV variant.

She would prefer something smaller too, but she thinks we need something huge.

Funnily enough the GLS is exactly the same length as the Pacifica.

Oh no we will wait for the refresh. I would
only get a 2023 if it were a deal.

Unless there's only one on the lot.

They'll let it sit there forever waiting on getting their hefty price with ADM's included and all that other grocery list of addons.
Unless, of course SW can smooth talk a deal.

Its a strange time. I walk the lot most Sundays because its between where I have lunch and the carwash, and I know for a fact that the 3 GLSs they have have been there a while, at least 60 days. Two GLS450s with $12k ADMs and one GLS580 with a $20k ADM. There is also a CPO 2022 450. They are completely covered in sap and nastiness from sitting there, and two of them the ink on the ADM sticker is almost completely faded by the sun. They also have leftover 2023 GLEs and refresh GLEs with the same ADMs on the windshield. Why would you pay the same ADM for a 2023 as a 2024 refresh?

They have a nice 23 S580 that has been there at least 90 days, and also is filthy. I did email them about that and they offered 10% off right off the bat...but the SUVs are *supposed* to be in higher demand....

MSRP isn't a deal I would take because I can order a 2024 from somewhere in the country for MSRP I'm sure...I'll order it from Utah if I have to lol
