You gotta drive an S Class on the highway! Way better than any LS, 460, 430 400 any of them. The solidity and confidence is on another level
yes, the ls430 is so floaty, not great at high speed unless road is flat and smooth. quiet though.
ls460 better, but the s-class was just designed (suspension) to go really fast for LONG periods of time (autobahn).

seriously though not sure why you're test driving the gls and x7... x7 is too small based on all you've said, and gls is too expensive.
If I were buying one for me I would get a Range Rover. More on the S Class’ level of interior and materials and platform. But, that would be $135,000. We’re goin in the wrong direction here lol
Yesterday we almost Carmaxed 24 hour test drove a 2020 Escalade but didn’t feel like it at the last minute. Still want to get around to it. I’m really interested to see if it has the refinement of an LX. I know it’s faster.
JAAAAAAAAG
Pray for my friend, he is going from an ES350 to this thing......
Very stylish an fun looking car.
Not sure how he will get those HP numbers.
Is the engine already built up with a supercharger or is he doing that himself as new owner?

Honestly, for a family hauler ya'll know that anything you get will take a beating no matter what you get.
Kids, dogs, stains, etc.
Spoiler
Did I mention stains? lol
Trying to give SW a reason not to drive a daily that isn't as new or nice as the family hauler. lol

It's the factory engine actually, this is the Jag equal to M/AMG/S cars so it's nuts from the get go and has headroom for around 600hp before you need to really change stuff.
If the car is going to get beaten to hell by the dogs and kids, you rarely drive it, and your wife gets absolutely no enjoyment out of driving it and it's basically an appliance to her, then your problem is solved: get something in the 45-50k range and put that extra money on an increase in your budget for your next car. You can probably do a Maybach with the V12.
I do drive it some, I drive it on trips, I would take it to WV instead of the S Class, I would drive it more than I drive the Pacifica because I would enjoy driving it.
Plus, she does like it. It’s going to take something she likes to get her out of a minivan.
I really don’t want to buy another minivan, so if it’s that I would just keep the one we have. I miss the automated driving features on a trip though, and I would like AWD.
Hmm yeah, that's the issue with expecting crossovers to have the same interior dimensions as a van. A van is very practical and is almost perfect. I say almost because they are so ugly compared to a sedan or even a typical crossover. That's the only issue, really, at least for me.
