General Car Conversation
But, to be fair if I need to drive 9 hours away, and my car is at the dealer for service or a warranty repair, then I need to drive 9 hours away. The point of the loaner is so my travel needs aren't interrupted by having my car in the shop. I've taken loaners and rental cars on trips before.
I'm not going to defend everything that dealerships do, but those disclaimers are probably there for a reason. Careless or negligent people will often simply trash anything that does not belong to them...or, in some cases, even that which does LOL.

This is for that little engine vibration at idle I tried to put it in for in December.
I always forget how much I like these GLCs…I would totally buy one. And it’s probably the best 4cyl implementation I have driven.

my laugh was that steve said he didn't expect it but then repeatedly stated that he did expect it. if he expects it, perhaps when he makes the appointment, he should say he does want a loaner, and no craptastic a class.
In that situation where they pulled a new C Class off the lot and scraped the labels off of it and gave it to me as a loaner, I didn't ask them to do that...they just did it.
Also if it was just one day, it would be fine, but if they're going to keep my car for 4 or 5 days without even looking at it when I made an appointment a week out and expect me to drive that little car around, and that I can only drive it 100 miles a day and not outside a 75 mile radius is ridiculous. Just work on my car in a timely manner and get it back to me and then what you put me in matters less.
Yeah, the dealer who sold me a $125,000 car and services it for me at a rate of $210 an hour, when they already had the car 4 days without looking at it for this issue 3 months ago and I had them give it back to me. Ridiculous. I made an appointment, just look at my car.
