I've leased many times. I've done it for the sole purpose of finding it to be the most efficient way to get into a new car every few years. I am one to grow tired of a car after about 2-3 years and have the desire to get something new. However, my priorities have since shifted therefore I have purchased, rather than leased, my current fleet. I could easily go back to leasing, though, depending on the car and my needs.
This is exactly why I lease, I get bored after about 2-3 years so I want something else. There are some economics involved which is why I did not lease my Tesla but if the rates were good I definitely would have leased it.
Same here and have leased for a long time until this one. Numbers came out about the same so I decided to buy so I won't have to worry about mileage. It turned out it works in my favor. It would not be good for buying your lease or getting a new one right now.
We have fully established that. Buy what you want. It may be crazy to some that I buy 8-21 year old cars, but a brand spanking new new expensive boat.. but it's perfect for my lifestyle.
Would NEVER want an older or used boat unless a really nice cabin cruiser. Ski boat has to be new, too many risks buying used. Not like cars.
Speaking of used boats being a bad idea I'm looking into planes and my god it's insane how many are from the 80s and still flying!
Oh yeah, lots of Sea Rays that are clearly 20-30 years old I see and look a bit dated but they run fine. It was Sea Ray or bust from the get go because if you take care of them, they last, and I just love Sea Rays. But we are going OT, there is a boat thread in clubhouse.
I know I can't shut up about Steve's paint, but when I say I tell people about it and they don't believe me, they don't. I find it amusing because they assume I'm just taking this from some random single post. I had to explain to him/them how great of a community CL is and that I've been interacting with everyone for over a decade on here and I feel like I "know" many of you. I like that and that's why I won't ever leave CL. I own that Benz now and haven't even been to their forums to even look bc nothing can top CL and I really don't care.
Edit: I misread. Planes? Yeah that'll make boat ownership seem cheap. I have a friend who had a plane, he was a riccccccch Cardiologist and got rid of it. He had a spot at the airport for it and everything. I don't know planes at all but I think even a license and FAA crap costs a fortune.

This is absolutely true...I haven't seen any other forum that has the same kind of feel as CL does...thats why you see so many people stick around even when we no longer own Lexus vehicles...

Yep. Cussing at people and all in other forums. So much disrespect when you're just trying to get info or talk cars without it turning into measuring contests.

Agreed. The Audi forums are much more "violent" lol!
