Mercedes-Benz EQE
That's more due to the wheelbase than the shape as the wheelbase itself is 123 inches- longer than that of a LWB W213 E-Class (121 inches). So of course there should be more legroom.
The EQE's battery pack is also significantly larger than the i4's (91 vs 84 kWh) and the weight difference is negligible with both being just over 5,000 pounds, and yet the i4 has the exact same range. The i4 isn't an amazingly packaged vehicle, but its efficiency dunks the EQE's.

You're not painting the whole picture with the i4 though.
-The I4 edrive 40, the one with the EPA range of 301mi, actually weighs 4680lbs. which is significantly less than 5000lbs. The eDrive40 19" wheels has less range at 282 miles
-The base M50 has 10% less range (270 miles), weighs just over 5k lbs, and comes standard with 19" wheels. The i4M50 with 20" wheels is at 227mi range.
We, of course, will need to see how this compares to EPA range for the EQE and get the official weight figure. It could be similar, but we don't know for sure yet.
I was including the wheelbase and resulting clipped overhangs as part of the shape, but we're in agreement on the wheelbase.

But yes, let's wait for official figures.
As an EV, from what we know so far I feel like this was a rushed product.
I have actually, but I'll leave the "expert opinion" from Motor Trend.

We'll wait until we get to drive and test one on roads we know, but first impressions suggest the EQE350+ with air suspension is a benchmark midsize luxury EV in terms of ride and refinement. It makes a Tesla Model S feel like an antique.
the context is ride quality, and i have no doubt that an EQS or EQE has an infinitely better LUXURY ride quality than a Tesla model s. but then i don't think they're competitors at all, although the EQE AMG should be quite something, but obviously still not a missile plaid competitor.
again antique wasn't in reference to it seeming old, here's the exact quote:
meaning the EQE makes the tesla model s feel like it has a less sophisticated old (antique) suspension. doesn't mean the tesla s is bad, just not as high quality a luxury ride.
