EQE will be nice due to hopefully considerably lower price than EQS, and still a bunch of features. Hopefully 4Matic version will have over 550hp.

design looks like econo hatch from the sides, for Chinese market.

The EQ line needs to go back to the drawing board for exteriors. Nothing about it oozes luxury other than the interior

The lower models, especially the C Class are really unreliable; I found out the hard way many years ago.

have you looked at a current e-class lately? also a 'blob' and doesn't really "ooze luxury". it's not that big a leap. the difference primarily is the EQE's shorter front end.

That looks absolutely terrible, and so cheap too.
The conventional ICEV E Class looks far better IMO.

I don’t think the E Class is a particularly good looking shape, I think it looks too short which has been an issue for MB for a while, they take the long car styling from the S Class and try and adapt it to a shorter car and it doesn’t really work.

BUT, I think the E Class is an order of magnitude better looking than the EQE

EQE looks like something from economy class. There's quite a difference. Just agree to disagree because you will not convince me otherwise.

I actually just now saw a new refresh E53 and it was really sharp...

The front of the EQE actually reminds me of a Nissan Altima...just don't get the design choices here.

That blacked out DLO under the A Pillar reminds me alot of one of the older Civics.

detailed review (although no driving).

i think mercedes is going to do very well with this.

reviewer says he thinks 'round' styling is targeted at chinese market... hard to argue with going after the biggest market in the world.

Not sure I like this. Reason being, I think Mercedes should have waited for the EQS version to be out for a while. This just floods the market and takes away from the EQS. For some reason, I do feel Mercedes is starting to lose their way.
