Mercedes EQE Teased, Debuts In Munich Alongside All-Electric AMG

 

ev AMG, why would Mercedes use the iconic amg name on ev's? I'd think MB could of come up w/ ev performance name....

 

AMG is the way to IMO

 

because AMG is about "fast as s---" and this ev will be that.

 

They're already using it on hybrids so EV's aren't much of a stretch.

 

Oh they moving pretty quick with the EV's. Love to see it! But Hopefully they leave the 2000 Dodge Intrepid design language of the larger model behind.

 

Yeah, so far spy shots and footage haven't been all that flattering. Just looks like an even stubbier version of the EQS.

looks like a mini EQs...so I am not that impressed. Is that interior picture just the EQS?

Thats not really what AMG is about. Yes AMGs are really fast, but they are also raw, cars for all the senses etc.

 

maybe they'll have louder noise generators on the EQ AMG models and use seat massagers to simulate an ICE.

I don't know about that- an AMG is a lot more refined than something like a Hellcat. AMG has essentially become like M, fast comfortable cars that only get rowdy when you flip a switch, to which it'll pump in fake engine noise and farts in the exhaust. The goal of AMG and M isn't to enliven the senses, it's to give even the most mediocre drivers the ability to drive with precise control via mountains of computer software.

 

Listen to AMG exhausts crack and pop. We're not talking about the pseudo AMG cars, I'm talking about 63s etc.
