that's because it's all 'merican (oh and japanese ) trucks and suv's where u r.
It's not a stretch to say. that, I mean not really. Like I've always said, BOF huge SUV heavy area.
When we were in California I saw one Yukon. Here I'll see a dozen Denalis in one day out of driving. So glad the wheels are murdered out and not the standard ones, with the black on black colors.
Lol you guys would come here and see exactly what I've always been saying about 200 series LC/LXs...they're everywhere.
i think it’s more like the other way around— tesla is introducing new luxury features to keep their customers and potential EV customers.
Tesla has made it very clear they are not making luxury products and don't intend to. This is shown in the vehicles and what they offer and now we're finally seeing it in their prices.

Now that products like the EQS and i7 exist, I won't/can't be going back to Tesla after the EQS lease is up. The only Tesla I'm interested in at this point is Cybertruck, that's personally the only way forward with Tesla for me. Air suspension and crazy amounts of rear wheel steering have become my new "must-haves" and luckily Cybertruck checks both boxes.
I'd really enjoy a Cybertruck and an EQS SUV or Cybertruck and i7 pairing.

.
Oh but they're status symbols, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think they definitely used to be when Model S and X were $150,000 vehicles. They held that position for a looooong time. But now a Model X can be had for $72,490. A Model Y can be had for $36,490. A Model 3 can be had for $31,490. Model 3s and Ys are cheaper than most new Toyotas these days.

Not the Model 3 and Y. They are as cheap or cheaper than a Camry, RAV4, and definitely the new Prius. There are way, way too many of them on the road to be a status symbol

I didn't think so
I'll be testing out an i7 shortly, as soon as I get some time

don't frame everything around where you are. i have never seen a sight like that here. i do see more 3/y than ever, probably 3 or 4 on a typical day.

this is more common here. 'merica
I was specifically framing it that way because where I live, Tesla's dominate, so I was pointing out that because they have become like Camry's, they are not status symbols here, but mainstream cars. And I do fully understand that Trucks are the largest vehicle market in America. Americans do a lot of stuff that makes no sense to the rest of the world
And I've travelled the world

Then why did they improve the suspension on MY? Is it not considered making it more luxurious? What about ambient light? I guess they learned their "ambient" light could be improved and be more luxurious? Right now, their prices are fairly cheap, and they don't have competition. But when there are, they will have to introduce new things to keep their business going the way they want.

Not too long ago some were strongly arguing with me about this statement. As how common teslas are, I was surrounded by three of them, all different flavors. I also saw a truck like that with two you-know-what flags twice this past two weeks. I wonder if it was the same truck.
