Looks are of course subjective, I'm confident many more people subjectively think this car looks like a highly polished turd than don't.

Can't agree there. You did not just state your opinion, you drew and voiced conclusions about the person who had the opinion because of their opinion. Here are the examples of that:

You're making inferences about me and others based on the fact that we don't like this car's design and have continually challenged our opinions of the design vs just saying "hey, thats your opinion" and moving on. The only reason I continue to discuss my opinion of this car is that you keep telling me its wrong. Not sure why but for some reason you seem very defensive of this car specifically.

But it does look like something that already exists, a 20 year old Honda Civic lol

 

I have to say that I also find it odd that Paul feels very personal about this cars design and his dislike of anyone else's opinion to the contrary.

The jabs at the EQS have been absolutely nothing compared to what was inflicted on the first-gen Panamera. The worst is yet to come.

guys, let me be clear. I don't give a s--- whether this car succeeds or fails. yes i happen to like its design, and it's just my opinion, not right or wrong. what i object to is on here is the declarations by others that the car is ugly period, not "i think it's ugly", like many here are official judges of what's acceptable/good and what is unacceptable/bad and anyone who disagrees is obviously 'wrong'.

i do not think people who hate this car are 'wrong', because it's a subjective opinion. i do think that comments like it looks like a 20 year old honda civic are ludicrous though, but i certainly don't take it personally.

Thats honestly the first thing I think of when I see it. I don’t see how that statement is any different than saying a Lucid Air looks like a Taurus, which I don’t see at all.

 

For some weird reason all of Bit's posts have disappeared on me in this thread even though I see his posts just fine in other threads. Anyone else having the same issue?

I agree the ambient lighting is too much. I'm sure it can be turned down maybe it was set at max for the picture.
