Mercedes EQS flagship
It was 770km for the most effecient model (EQS 450) but realistically, once you convert from WLTP test cycle to EPA, it's closer to 400mi. The shape certainly has aerodynamics as a priority but it's not like they had to make the car look exactly like this- Gorden Wagener came up with this "one now" design language ahead of the design freeze. The upcoming SUVs and smaller EQE will also have a similar slick shape.
in 10 years when another different mb design comes out we'll see "why can't they make it like the current eqs"?
hameed - many of those pics you posted show how incredibly similar the production car is to the concept. a couple of the most unflattering ones you posted, ok, not great, usually the smallest wheels, and i hate the two tone either way.
they likely couldn't produce the concept car because only 3 olds could fit in the back seat and the trunk would only hold a case of beer.
but yeah, it looked cool.
my lc500 looks cool, but practical it ain't.

Jay Leno seemed to like it. He and the MB guest spent a lot of time talking about the shape/looks.

After seeing this car in person, I still think the proportions are off which is unfortunate. It does look expensive though so at least it has that going for it.
Lol easy on the conspiracy theories. Why would they hide their production car which they're trotting out to every car show possible? They even carried one around with a helicopter.
I did do a google image search of "mercedes eqs" just out of curiosity and the production car came up almost exclusively on the first page, which makes sense given all of the recent first drives.

Took some screen shots of DuckDuck and Bing search for "Mercedes eqs", pretty much exclusively pics of the concept and not production car in the first few page results. I can tell you a few months ago those search results were very different because I tried finding pics of the concept typing that or eqs concept in and there weren't many, mostly of the production model or other things.

Apparently that Mercedes paid DuckDuck and Bing to suppress images based on the snippet from his earlier post:
Its actually very enjoyable. I'm not a Jay Leno fan, I think he's a jackass but his love of cars comes through on his channel and hes really enjoyable to watch in that venue. He doesnt "review" cars, he just talks about them and why he loves them. You'll never see negative feedback like that there.
Wow. What a sensational product by Mercedes Benz. I like the looks, sifting through all the negativity is tiring but this is a nicer product that the gas S class. Love the fact that they clarify that is in fact an S-class. I found it humorous when the MB guy called Jay “Jason”.
The artificial intelligence stuff was pretty cool. How the car will learn what time you make phone calls so the phone number will come up on the screen at a specific time. Toyota was promoting something similar during the Olympics. I don’t really like the frameless doors, that looks cheap. The window vents sitting on the dash look crappy compared to cars that have them built into the door panels. And for some reason, MB went a cheap route but omitting the speakers on the A pillar. Charging is still a PITA
I think the new EQS will be the Motor Trend Car of the Year
PS: Jay Leno has the Best reviews. Nothing on You Tube really comes close

Now reverse this phrase - I like a product but you don't like it - does that mean your opinion is negative? It's a very simple concept to understand.
Jay Leno definitely does NOT do car reviews. Every single car he's discussed on his channel, he's raved about it - even a car that is made by the company you love so much - Tesla. A Model Y, and he couldn't stop raving about it. That sums it up right there regarding his car videos.
