An example of bad orange, the BMW 2 series. It looks red on photos, in person it looks brown. Doesn't pop at all.

Not sure if they were trying to match the old orange 2002 model, hard to tell if this one is original paint.

Talking to one woman who hates her new mercedes and is thinking about getting out of it. I asked her which one it was...glc. What did she have before? X5...what doesn't she like about it..."it sounds like a lawnmower"....so...she doesn't like the 4 cyl. I told her she should grive a gle450 with the i6 and i bet she would like that. Going from an x5 to a glc is tough in the first place but replacing the b58 with the mb 4 makes it even harder. she said she doesn't really want anything as big as the x5 anymore, told her to go check out a genesis gv70 with the v6...make sure it’s the v6!

Next woman chimes in how she loves her lexus...which lexus? The old rx350...she drove the new one and she just didn't like it...didn't know why. First woman chimes in "does the engine sound like a lawnmower?" it does! Again...4 cyl. She bought her rx350 out and kept it instead of trading it in.

Its interesting, none of them know the difference between a 6 cyl and a 4 cyl...but they know the difference that change makes in how the car feels...

I've sold it now, but my Cyber Orange Bronco Wildtrak used to look absolutely fantastic in bright sunlight. This was the day I picked it up.

i recently helped a friend get a 2012 (or thereabouts) ES 350 and when you're just taking a leisurely stroll around town it feels basically just as smooth as my LS, but if you suddenly become baby driver it's clear that of the two of them you'd want the LS for any serious driving
Issue is most people don't push their cars that hard to they think there is no difference until you take them out at 155 and turn CC on and they realize how much of a gap there really is.

Even I of all people didn't see this one coming. Freaking awesome.... We're back to building insanely overpowered cars and trucks just because....f*ck it. Let's be ridiculous. These will sell like hotcakes, too. I for one don't need all the Escalade's luxury, Denali is enough... at least for tens and tens of thousands less.

2027 GMC Yukon Channels the Iconic Typhoon with New Supercharged V-8

GMC's full-size SUV will inherit the Escalade-V's hand-built LT4 engine, and the Yukon version could offer the same 682 horsepower.

Lol we may buy one of these one day, who knows.....

A friend of mine bought himself a Porshe Cayman to help with his motorcycle withdrawals during winter months. Its a 4 cylinder with a manual transmission, not sure if S or 718 model. Either way, I had a short ride in it once, and it's the first time I genuinely couldn't tell if it was a 4 cylinder. It sounded and revved like a 6, and even all the vibrations from the engine did not feel like a lawnmower but rather like a muscle car. Not sure if they are pumping fake sound into the cabin, or any other trickery that fools sensations, but it felt great.

I am 100% support of the LT4 being put into more things--it's a glorious powerplant. But that is one stupid-*** headline. There is nothing Typhoon-like about a lumbering Yukon, even one with almost 700hp.

This is exactly what I've been trying to tell you over the years...

You don't have to be a car person to not like crap engines, conversely you don't have to be one to love a good engine either.

And the masses hate these junk engines more than you think (hence your story), even if economy is so high on their list.

I guess they are dissimilar in a lot of ways... But the premise is the same, let's stuff an insane amount of power into a truck. The Typhoon couldn't tow literally anything over 500lbs, it wouldn't be that way with this new beast. You'd retain all the off road capability.

I juts can't imagine, I want one of these. Just the '22 we have with the regular 6.2 is such a hoot to drive.

It was a flat 4, that was why it felt much better.

Yeah that was kind of my point. The Typhoon couldn't tow anything because it had a very different suspension from the factory, and a semi-bespoke AWD system. So while it was still no sports car, it handled WAY better than a standard Jimmy, and had a ton of grip. But for the same reason, it had no cargo/towing capacity and couldn't go offroad at all.

By contrast, this will be a really powerful 6,000 lb SUV, without any of those tradeoffs (for better or worse). I have no desire for anything anywhere near that large, but if I did, I'd still be all-in. I wholeheartedly endorse your purchase.

If you click the link, it points out that there was an error in the GM filing, and GM Authority confirms that said error is that there won't actually be an LT4 Yukon.

They need to make it an Denali or AT4X only option. Even the base "Elevation" Yukons look good these days, but only 355hp.

And while they're at it, make an LT-4 equipped 1500 to compete with the TRX and Raptor R. Better late than never.

I was reading from another user, that Lexus NX Hybrids have the ability to detect the amount of fuel dilution in the sump. That is huge, and begs the question why doesnt Toyota use an oil life monitor system in their vehicles that is customer facing?

Because it's more fun to get "random" oil consumption around 100k miles.

Real reason is because if people could see the status of the oil they would change it more often and that would spike environmental concerns etc etc
