We live in a society. Your desire to have a car with no emissions regulations for your own enjoyment doesn't trump my right to be able to breathe clean air. It’s all a balance. Vehicle emission regulations have been a great thing for our society, they have dramatically improved the air quality in cities etc.
You see this, I take it you’re not snapping a pic or pointing it out to your kids who just may react with “COOOL!!!”

No, I would do all of those things lol. I don't however think manufacturers should sell cars like that to the mass public. If an owner here or there modifies their car and increases it's emissions I don't think that has a major impact on anything. What frustrates me about those modifications is the noise pollution.
The vast, vast majority of people just buy cars and drive them. The benefit to society of those cars driven by everybody being more and more efficient and less and less polluting is huge.
i think Striker was just responding to the dripping condescension Bit usually shows towards ICE like people who enjoy it are Neanderthals'. I's a very weird take on a car enthusiast forum.
lolol, i only said that *I* want nothing to do with modding ice cars. i didn't say others are neanderthals or anything of the sort. i get that many people still like that stuff, as obviously demonstrated by this forum. i was just saying it's not for me.
These are not small, its a big vehicle thats very spacious inside. Its 9 inches longer than a Range Rover, same lengh as a LWB Range Rover. tNot everybody wants a big blingy truck
Its a cool color but not for $6,500 lol
They really don't seem very large even from a car, I was at the dealer in the LS430 and was checking them out... I'll do a double take next time I go back.
I have to take MB in for service, maybe they'll have a GLS inside I can look at. I'm a fan of it off the bat, I like the high end SUVs.
It's the size and the "GTF outta my way" look that I like vis a vis Denali. I like large vehicles. If it's a car, it's going to be a large car.... same with trucks, or anything really. The SL is a large car believe it or not, it weighs 250lbs more than the LS430.

They are nearly a foot longer than your LS430. A Tahoe is only 4 inches longer. I like large vehicles also, but this is a large vehicle lol. Its large without being so large that it makes it difficult to drive and garage like a Tahoe can be. For instance this fits fine in my garage and a Tahoe is too tall.
I would be calling 911, then I would snap a pic 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣

I'm totally with you on avoiding modding, bit....for many reasons. You won't get any flak from me on that one.

I really like this GLC loaner I have, but the 4cyl is a real drag. Its interesting because I thought it felt good in the last gen GLC loaners I have had and in the C Class loaner I had, but here its buzzy and slow to boost...

Agreed on the noise, use an active exhaust unless you have something that actually sounds good. I will never complain when a high rev car does a bridge flyby over lake behind my house lol! Some of the local guys have F430s and 360s and it's awesome hearing them go full bore for the 1/2 mile, same with some of the liter bikes etc......
Some some $#!%box V6 infinity does it though it's just sad, those are the worst even vs a 4cyl since they are much louder

I used to attend and participate in car shows years ago. Modding is somewhat 2nd nature but it’s not for everyone. I can’t think of a vehicle I would not mod. Maybe a GT3 RS or GT2
