I always seem to have bad luck with my Tundra, through no fault of its own.

Okay, the leaking rear differential was a thing of its own doing, but also...

I've replaced the windshield three times. THREE TIMES! Rock chips that turn into huge cracks...

I spent 4 figures to have wire bundles replaced after rats chewed them up.

And today, I picked up a nail in the sidewall of the driver's side rear tire. I went in for hopefully a free repair and came out with 4 new tires.

Truck is almost 4 years old and had 18k on it. Sigh...

Mental note, next time buy a house with a HUGE garage so the truck can be tucked away inside with the others...

Thats only one thing the eABC does. This is what requires the 48v system BTW.

The eABC is a hydraulic suspension and it dynamically load levels at each corner and scans the road ahead to pre-load the suspension before you reach a road irregularity (in the S Class, I don't believe the GLS or GLE have that function). It basically eliminates body roll entirely and leans into a turn to keep the cabin flat. Really quite extraordinary. My S580 doesn't have it, it has airmatic.

Dropped the S580 off for the A service. $1,040. It will be going to the independent mechanic from here on out lol. They're also going to look at my creaky drivers seat.

I have a new GLC loaner which I really like:

Check out this green on this GLS, $6,500 extra cost:

is magic body control still an option? i remember that as being the successor to the ABC of the mid 2000s, does the same thing as far as scanning the road ahead to preemptively get the suspension ready for an upcoming bump

You're on a track, totally different that being on a public road and being way too close to the car in front of you.

That color is sharp and it does add some attitude to this otherwise very bland looking but exceptional crossover. These are just way too small for the price IMO and they’re pretty invisible.

These are not small, its a big vehicle thats very spacious inside. Its 9 inches longer than a Range Rover, same lengh as a LWB Range Rover. tNot everybody wants a big blingy truck

Its a cool color but not for $6,500 lol

Once catalytic converters and unleaded fuel became commonplace the air quality improved. Sucking all the power from huge engines didn’t really pollute so much per se.

Air quality improved but there is still pollution that we all benefit from being controlled.

So this is pretty cool. I have never used this carwash but I have used others in the Flagship chain, I have driven by it many times. I had no idea it was the oldest conveyered carwash in the US:

Ummm, I would disagree. I grew up in Los Angeles where you couldn't even see the Hollywood Hills that were 7 miles from my house in the 70's and most of the 80's. And I've been to countries that have ZERO smog control, and the air pollution kills people. Even today's modern cars still pollute, just not as much as in the past. It's a total fantasy to say cars don't pollute, or that they don't need to control emissions. Like it or not, emissions controls are necessary

Modern cars are 99.97% clean vs no cats or controls
