Us too! We were updated to "v12 (2025.38.9.6)" and "FSD v14.2.1".

I just tried it taking my daughter to dance class. It is amazing what it can do but it still doesn't drive naturally even in "Mad Max" mode which I tried. It hesitates a little changing lanes and got confused as to whether it should pass someone on an exit lane or get behind it where it just stayed there for a few seconds with the turn signal on before it got over. It hesitated once to get over to the left lane to pass where it started to get over then got back over and stayed in the lane before going back over to the left lane to pass.

All in all it is still the most advanced driving assistance system I have used but I don't think it is ready for driving in MD because the drivers here are insane and it really is like Mad Max every time I leave my house and drivers around here don't have patience for the sometimes hesitant FSD.

I'm going to see how it does the rest of this month to see if it gets better or if it is just not cut out for the shitty drivers around here.

A friend of mine has an S and a 3 and says the S is hesitant sometimes compared to the 3. It's very likely because there's much more FSD training on the 3 than the S.

yes, i’ve read multiple accounts about it being best on Y, then 3, then cybertruck/s/x in no order.
my Y on 14.2 has displayed almost no hesitancy yet, but then i also don’t drive in mad max mode much because i don’t want to be that far above the speed limit.

FSD should go 20% slower in snowy conditions, from what I can tell his car was at near limit of traction too often.

Used it again last night on some back roads and it was nearly perfect. Pretty amazing what it can do.

I think mine is HW4, it’s a 2025 S.

I just used it again to drop my daughter off and it was way smarter than me. I was approaching a split between an interstate and a local road and the FSD was trying to go to the local road which is slower and I was like WTF so I took over and took the interstate side of the fork and that was a big mistake, there was an accident and I was stuck for 20 minutes. Should have just trusted FSD.

What I noticed on the way to drop my daughter off is it still takes too long to get over. It turns the signal on and it flashed about 8 times before it started to get over and there wasn’t a car close in the other lane. Not sure what it was thinking. Then it tried to take me to the wrong parking lot so I had to take over even though it took me to the correct parking lot yesterday.

I would assume v13.x.

Why would this be? Wouldn't it apply the same algorithm across the entire platform? If not, wouldn't it defeat the purpose? If they release a new model for "Cybercab", using this train of thought, that would have to start basically from scratch to "learn"..?? I don't know why there would be any differences across the platform assuming that the HW is the same in the comparison group.

i don’t know specifically either. but the smarts/data relies on maps, rules, data and no doubt some adjustments for each model. having said that not all cars have had the front camera for example. it could also be with the Y being taller than an S for example, it can see further down the road over cars ahead. i’ve wondered a couple of time how it ‘sees’ the traffic light then i realized the top of windshield cameras (3!) have a higher viewpoint than me.

couple of updates on my end…

the 14.2.1 good:
it now goes into a friend’s driveway when it wouldn’t before.
it now goes in the front entrance to my community rather than the out of the way back entrance.
the bad:
a couple of times it’s taken a turn not mentioned on the screen near the destination. i’ve had to take over, get back on the main road, continue to where i know i’m going, and re-engage.
