Tesla is still plugging along.
The chevy Spark and etc are discontinued if I remember.
However, the KIA that Bit has looks good so I imagine those are selling but I don't know.
Who are the players and big selling models at this time today?
Bit has an Ioniq 5. They sell ok here, but model Y is still number one in California, and number three in sales among all vehicles (gas and electric) world wide, which is frankly amazing as who would have ever thought electric cars would take off like they have
tesla is not doing well up here, down 63% in 2025…the dislike for Elon Musk up here runs deep and the tariffs are not helping…25% of US made Tesla models but none on German
.
Do you see amy Hyundai & Kia Evs up there?

won’t it take a while to get them through regulations so they can be sold?

Chinese EVs (other than Teslas already certified) must meet Canadian safety and emissions requirements (Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards/CMVSS) before they can be imported and legally registered in Canada. The U.S. NHTSA standards are not the gatekeeper for Canadian imports, but compliance with Canadian standards is.
Regulatory framework for importing EVs into Canada1. Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) apply to all vehicles sold or imported for use on Canadian roads.Transport Canada requires that any vehicle imported into Canada be certified as compliant with the CMVSS in effect on the date the vehicle was manufactured.
Manufacturers or importers must have documentation showing the vehicle meets Canadian safety standards. Without this, the vehicle cannot be lawfully imported for road use. Motor Vehicle Safety Act (MVSA) prohibits most imports of vehicles that are not certified to Canadian standards.Vehicles manufactured for foreign markets (e.g., China-spec vehicles) generally do not comply with Canadian standards as built.
There is no general pathway under the MVSA to retrofit or modify a foreign-market vehicle post-manufacture to meet Canadian standards for road use.
