hmm.... that's illegal in florida. i wonder if it's location dependent.
Yes, it follows the local laws, so in a state like Florida where the left lane is a passing lane it will only use it for passing. Here in California it's a passing lane, but you can drive in it. You can get a ticket driving slow in the left lane, there are signs telling slower traffic to move to the right
While we are on FSD, I used it last night end to end, and it worked flawless. My wife who is a big skeptic was amazed. Made all the right moves, was smooth. We were visiting friends who live in an area where the roads are confusing, and I actually thought it was making mistakes, when in fact if I had been driving I would have made mistakes. For example, I misread the gps and thought we were supposed to make a right getting off the freeway, but it put itself in the "straight" lane, had I been driving I would have had to make a U turn. Next, there was a weirdly placed stop sign I would have blown through, but FSD saw it.
I had it in Hurry mode, and it did camp itself in the left lane on the freeway, but when it saw a car aggressively coming behind me at high speed, it safely moved to the right. There was a lot of traffic, but it didn't do anything stupid or make any dangerous lane changes
I just used FSD today and it is amazing how good it is. It is the best drivers assistance option hand down I have used and it’s not even close. I still refuse to pay monthly for it because I really don’t need it because I don’t travel with my car much but it is great. Plus I was wearing sunglasses so I don’t think it could give me a third strike.

Same here, I won't be paying for it after it expires on the 15th except maybe when I go on trips, it's probably worth the $99
and that's the issue with so many subscription plans that are only needed now and then.
so you'd pay $99 to use it on one trip?
maybe they'll eventually make it mileage based.
I would. It really helps on 6 or 7 hour drives, and if you've ever been in SoCal traffic, worth every penny.
On another note, just annihilated a Red WRX STi. Even gave him a lead. Wasn't even close. He wouldn't give up after a few lights, so had to drop out when he started to become dangerous in traffic. I even have it on dashcam but I'm probably not going to share it cause I might get mothered

Thought I was smarter than FSD and I took over and unknowingly blew past my exit. Next exit, 12 miles just to turn around.😩

Did they change something since December? That was the main issue I had when using it. I had to keep manually moving back to the right lane, because it was camping in the left with no one around. Very annoying...

There's been several updates to fsd since December. Put it in Chill and it will avoid the left lane. Put it in Hurry, and it will default to the left lane.
Maybe I'm wrong about following specific laws such as passing lanes, I'm just basing that statement on how it follows driving laws here almost to the T

Hurry mode was the only mode that was tolerable for me, except for that one thing. Well, I guess the other was that it kept wanting to drive 20mph > the speed limit. That was easier to manage with the scroll wheel, though.

I'm also not a big fan of Chill mode, but luckily you can adjust the speed. I'm totally fine with Hurry mode and it defaulting into the left lane, I'm also so far fine with it changing lanes, so far they have all been done safely with no close calls. The only one issue I have is when a turn lane is backing up it will try and get in where the turn lines start instead of going behind the last car, unless it doesn't have a choice. I mostly have to intervene

What are all the modes? My brother in law had his in Standard mode. You've mentioned "Chill" and "Hurry".
