LOL, ditch his W223 that drives identical to an W222 because it’s hybrid and order a diesel S Class that isn’t sold in the US? Got it.
He didn't like the.....wait for it..... batteries and all the fuel saving junk in it, like the wheels disconnecting from the drivetrain when coasting. I told him to get the diesel. It is plenty fast and zero bs like start stop/etc. You're just gonna have to deal with someone having a different opinion than you and not liking what you like.. Also, I refuse to believe a trivial savings in gas is a concern for you if you make half a million bucks a year. If your car got 16MPG city, you still would have bought it and wouldn't give it a second thought.

They won't sell very well at all. I also don't like how GM is making the big boys look similar in some ways to these electric ones.
That's one of the reasons I don't really care for the '25 Yukon refresh, they changed the headlights to mimic the Sierra EV.
I like the way it looks for an EV truck but they need to differentiate them. They fixed something not broken with the Yukon's face IMHO.
That makes no sense. There is zero difference to how it drives, you would never know it was a hybrid. The wheels do not disconnect when coasting. Only reason for him to not want it is if he was anti hybrid and EV like you are but in that case he never would have bought it in the first place. It’s not about somebody liking or not liking the same thing as me, it’s about the fact that I have had both cars and there is no difference to how the 223 powertrain feels other than the startup noise since there is no starter. If he did trade it that wasn’t the reason why.
And he can’t get the diesel because they don’t sell it here, so that was never an option.
Like I said I wouldn’t not buy a car with poor gas mileage if I wanted it, but I do appreciate improvements in gas mileage and I would like to buy less gas or preferably no gas. I love that the Pacifica only needs gas for travel. You don’t believe my preferences there are real and I don’t believe your friend is real so I guess we will leave it at that...

HE can tell it's a hybrid. He liked his W222 better. Someone has different tastes than you Steve, yes... it's possible!!!!

I thought that they did for one model year I just read a C&D article about it but I was wrong. I suggested to him to try the diesel out, he never looked for one.

Dude I am really getting fkn sick of you calling me a liar all the time, it's getting old. I'm many things but a liar I'm not. Why don't you go ahead and re-ignore me, please.
If I told you my friend had an 04 LS430 and sold it because he thought hhis IS350 rode softer and had a more refined engine…how would you react to that? You know what I am saying is not true because you have firsthand experience that it’s not.
I think @AJT123 will get an EV before you will and we all know the likelihood of that happening 🙃🤣
I will get one for sure, I wanted one this time…I didn’t 100% choose the S580 because it wasn’t an EV…I like the car better than the i7
If AJT would give an electrified or EV luxury sedan a fair try he would absolutely love them. I’m really confident of that because he and I like the same kind of cars. If you love an LS430 there is no way you wouldn’t love an S580 with the 48v system or an i7
