And the reason it matters is it shows less cars are being sold collectively, although it does hurt EV's more, as they are already a smaller percentage of overall sales shrinking their numbers more
With all due respect, I don't think you know how percentages work in this case lol
I fully understand how they work, I'm just arguing with him...just to argue with him
Only I'm allowed to do this.
So I've been thinking about the auto market for a bit turns out Toyota was right. This rush to EVs has not paid off at least in the medium term. Tesla is sitting on 30 days of inventory Toyota 15. Toyota has actually raised prices and sales are holding serve a great position to be in when you're the #1 or #2 auto maker by volume. Tesla and BYD sales just tanked these two companies represent the lions share of the EV space. Rivian is barely holding serve not a good sign for a company with minuscule sales they should be in a rapid growth phase. Lucid is going nowhere and bleeding cash faster than a gambling addict.
GM EV sales are a joke, Ford slashed F-150 Lightning prices. Mach E is a sales dud. Can argue all day as to why but the EV market has hit the ditch.
I'm not. All I'm saying is this is more documentation (proof?) that EVs aren't nearly as popular as people thought they were going to be, which wasn't hard to deduce even years and years ago. If people want them, more power to them!! But we are just not there. Fisker is out, Rivian loses $433k a vehicle? Ford Lightning is a dud, they just got rid of 2/3 the employees at the Lightning plant. Motor Trend actually said the Lightning was "the most significant vehicle ever". ROFL. GM won't even release an EV Silverado, watch.
Tesla of all EVs with loads of unsold cars isn't good news for EVs.

One bad quarter and you are going to write off a company like Tesla? Seriously? I'll agree with you if their next 3 quarters are all downward sales numbers
I believe the last big investors that bet against Tesla lost something like $61.8 Billion
This is 90% about people lacking awareness after you own an EV you can't go back to gas, sorry but you just can't. Hitting the juice pedal in a gas car after driving an EV makes you think something is wrong it takes so long for anything to happen.

Lots of people do. My youngest brother was one of them.
You're younger brother is an outlier. I have no idea what you are posting, but I can say it's pure garbage. There is a ton of data on this, I'll just pick Kelly Bluebook:
I highly question how anyone could drive a Tesla then trade it for something like a Toyota hybrid you're going back 15+ years in technology the experience just plain sucks. A 2024 Toyota has infotainment from the stone ages.
I'm about the biggest Toyota fanboy ever but look at this, ugh.

I'm not going to knock anyone's personal preferences, and I'll just speak for myself....hell no. No way I'm going back. Once you feel that smooth EV powertrain, instant on demand torque, you couldn't pay me to go back
Its actually pretty unusual. I actually can't think of anybody I know who has an EV and has gone back to a gas car...all the time I spend on forums too you rarely see that. The industry stat is only 26% go back to gas cars.
I'm not going to knock anyone's personal preferences,
I'm not trying to knock their choice, but I certainly don't understand it.

EV is a far safer car including its ability to accelerate.
