Do you plan on any CATS on the mid pipe for smell control ??? Or will the Icode come with them already ??

I applaud your DIY garage installs.. Wish I had the time & tools..!!

I finally started buying some quality tools and building a collective automotive kit.

Lord almighty you can spend money fast on tools!

The way novel makes them, the sensors go only on the 2 rear runners. They won’t read an overall bank reading. And would be almost impossible to access if they need to be replaced. The collector location would read one bank altogether and much easier access to the sensors.

I've always wondered why they chose do make them that way. You're only reading two cylinders, and this is the wideband, the one you really need to be working well.

I have had mixed feelings about Novel because of stuff like that. Their race ISF was pretty sweet, but they removed the paddle shifters, forcing the driver to run in auto. As we know, the ISF is slower in auto. The choice seemed odd.

More progress! Installed a new starter and added another layer of insulation. Also applied some heat shield in some areas that are close to the headers.

I hope you never need to remove the steering ECU again. It's hard enough with no heat shield, but looking at that makes me think I'd be annoyed beyond belief if I had to pull that thing and the first step is stripping off the heat shield I paid a bunch of money to put on.

I have a huge roll of this heat shield. Cheap insurance if it means keeping the plastic connectors and wire insulation from getting brittle.

More progress!

New exhaust manifold studs and some titanium locking nuts.

Added aluminum heat shied.

More aluminum heat shield.

Extending the primary O2 sensors’ wiring with some Deutsch sealed connectors.

Sanded, primered, painted, clear coated, wet-sanded, and polished. I like how the primer sort of bled through the black at the edges giving them an outline.
