Be aware of rattles after dealers rip the dash out.

I would even try glue dots (previous idea was velcro)- if you are familiar with them, used for hobbies and crafts, clear round discs sticky on both sides. A very mild adhesive so the part could still be removed if the dash needed other servicing. Just adhere 3 or 4 to the top inside along that channel and press the trim part back in place.

Just an FYI:

Adhesives made for hobbies and crafts will NOT hold up to the heat of a summer in an auto interior.

If you try the glue dots, an additional spot of super glue on each side of the dot is required.
(This advice would be more for those who encounter the issue after warranty expires.)

I would hope Lexus fixes this ASAP. Would it have any impact (pun intended) on the operation of the front airbags?

Dealers ALWAYS claim to be unaware of things like the Internet.

I just got my 2023 LEXUS RX 350 last week and am noticing dash separation as well. Has anybody got this resolved at the dealer? Also, if I go in for a fix at the dealer, can I go to any dealer? Or would it have to be the dealer where I bought the car?

Yes they have, it’s in this thread. Yes you can go to any dealer. I’m going to wait and see if Lexus comes up with a fix that doesn’t require taking the dash apart like it currently does.

Right. The apparently proper fix is to take the whole dash apart. They tried to fix mine by installing new clips, which did not work. You would think they would manufacture different clips that are stronger for the next year model. I’m just going to wait and see what happens rather than have them disassemble the dash.

Well, if its the clips, why don't they fail right away? The cars coming off the line should have the separation. I wonder if they just had a bad production run of these parts.

It could be time or weather, nobody knows. My car was built in early-November 2022 and I picked my car up on 12/3/2022 and noticed the issue mid-May. The weather was warmer and almost 6 months of use. It would be helpful if those who have had the issue tells us your build date and pickup date to see if there is a correlation. One month after the fix and no issue so far.

Mine was 4/23 and still has the issue, meaning they did not fix the defect.

Relative to "Wait4VTec" suggestion on 6/5/23 - This seemed like a good idea so instead of felt I did the same with Scotch Mount Extreme double sided mounting straps (but let them overlap the sides as well). Appears to be working as, prior to this my dash separated during hot weather (wouldn't even stay put right after pressing back in place) and I've left it in the sun today with 102 heat index on blacktop. I'll monitor for a while longer and report back with any changes.

So far, there have been suggestions to fix 85K cars with talcum powder and double-sided tape. What the actual heck? If I wanted a Yugo, I'd have bought a Yugo.

Calm down, It's still going to be a warranty repair. Having options until you get to the dealer or if the warranty expires can be helpful for those so inclined.
