I noticed this a couple of weeks ago, but at first thought it was a vent. Checking my car yesterday, I did see that my panel had fallen/detached. I had my 6 months service scheduled for Friday, but decided to push it to today to check on this. I explained it to the service person and she said they would check it out. I thought I was going to get the Tesla treatment, this part is within spec. When I got the voicemail saying that my car was ready, the service person said that they had ordered a part but it is out of stock with no ETA when it will be available. The service person that checked me out said that he had already seen one of these and Lexus had tried replacing the clips but that did not work. The new plan is to replace the panel. So this might take awhile. I wonder if this affects early built cars, mine was built in early November 2022. I did notice that the panel was loose in the 2023 RX 350 loaner car too and I think it was built in early December 2022 based on the VIN lookup.
I have a 350h with build date in March, mine also seems abnormally loose when I touch it. We do have some 100+ degree days but the car is kept in the garage most of the time. Disappointed with the quality and I hope Lexus finds a fix before mine separates.
My dealer asked me to go in so they can try and fix it, but I assume they will just apply tape and foam to try and add more friction to the clips. Hopefully if enough people report it, Lexus will issue a TSB and an actual replacement part that has better fitment can be created/ordered, otherwise anything else is just temporary bandaid fix.
Mines also 14" screen. I applied some tape and it has stayed up so far this weekend. But the gap is still easily noticeable and not taut like the left and right far corners.
